Hope the weekend is kind to you me dear
The party is in the afternoon so I am kind of hoping that. DD is then going to her godparents for a sleepover so DH, DS and I will just have a "bitsa" tea (i.e. not a proper one) so some saving there.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
We do love a good bitsa in our house too!
Nice for DD to have some time with her godparents.
We are running everything down too. The cupboards are getting pretty bare - I must try and make some bread, I'm always too scared but i really must try.
I was really hoping the 100 I took out would last until the end of the month but I'm fearful its not going to. Fresh stuff costs so much doesn't it?
I really must try harder - I've a little under half of it left and I only took it out a week ago.
I took it out to make me really 'think' about what I'm spending on and I've found myself put a couple bits back too - so it IS working. But I think 'I'M' not working hard enough to make the most of what I've got.
I'll try and follow your good example too and make it last as long as I possibly can.
Enjoy some time with the boys over the weekend!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Sooooo tired today. Don't think I've had a decent sleep since before christmas. Any ideas on how to get a 2year old to stay in his own bed all night gratefully appreciated.
Had a letter off our electricity company today. DH switched us just before Christmas to a different (cheaper) supplier. The old electric company owe us £170 apparently :j On the up side they are putting it straight into our bank account so no waiting for cheques to clear, but on the down side they are not putting it in til the end of the month! They are quick enough to take it though aren't they?
The gas company should also owe us some money I think but still waiting on a letter from them to confirm
Once the money is in the bank I will transfer it to the window loan.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

It's not considered PC to use Superglue, I assume?
Great news on the £170 - but yes, you're right, it's like HMRC, who will happily fine me if I pay my tax even a day late, and yet don't pay me a single penny in interest on the money they demand "on account" each year.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I was thinking along the lines of a lock on the bedroom door............ My bedroom door that is :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Morning all. Today is a me and DS kind of day. He has done his nursery days this week and I'm pleased to report no sickness this week. Must have just been a bit too much excitement for him last week poor baby.
I have got a pile of housework to do. And I do mean a lot. I may make a list. At the moment though I am sat with a cuppa, slowly writing this while watching DS dancing around to the wiggles DVD. He's so cute. I know I'm biased but he so ishe's got pretty much all the actions down. He could be a dancer when he's older, although I'm pretty sure he's going to be in a rock band, the way he plays his guitar!! :rotfl:

Just updated my list from yesterday to cross of what I had done and I did all of it :j go me!
DH had his cc statement this morning so that's £40.62 off our debts making £358.05 paid off so far or (because I am really sad) 3.6%oh dear. That figure doesn't look very good does it
Must try harderGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Get you flying through your list! :T As for DS, you're right, he is cute. They both are, actually. Ask Mrs Stripes, she'll agree too!
3.6% paid off is 3.6% you're not paying interest on, and that you'll never have to pay off again. :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

And as for guitar lessons Mr RG says he'll help when the tiddler is bigger.
:-) handy have a rock god in the clan (any excuse to wear his cape)
Well done on the payments and the money back. It all helps.
As for staying in bed - my kids use to use story tapes from the library - I think these days it might be audio child's book CDs. If they got up, it went off, does he like stories? and they only got put on when they got into bed.
My two loved them.....
