Morning all, lovely sunny day here. Shame it's so cold! We had naughty children here last night who thought it was funny to be up playing at 4.30am instead of sleeping. Mean mammy that I am took great pleasure in waking them at 7.30am for school  One naughty child walked to school and the other naughty child is lying in the floor playing with his cars pretending he's not tired :rotfl: early night all round I think as I may pay for their tiredness with behaviour before bedtime. DH won't be home til after bedtime either. How convenient for him ;)

I don't *really* mind as they have both been on their best behaviour this morning. Sucking up to me of course ;)

Washing hung on the line, making the most of the sunshine,
    Banks checked
Two handfuls of toys relocated back upstairs
Cup of tea made and half drunk ;)

After my tea I will wash the dishes then go upstairs and start tackling my bedroom. DS has promised to tidy his toys up if I help him with his clothes. At 3years old I think that's a good compromise :D

    Happy Monday all

Morning all. Feeling a bit down and a bit overwhelmed today. Over the last week I have been feeling very productive with all the things I have been doing in the house. However I have come to the realisation that all the "productiveness" hasn't actually got me anywhere. I have only been doing the basics ie washing, washing up, sweeping, putting clothes away, tidying. I've felt so tired just doing those things but actually none of that has helped with decluttering or sorting or the decorating! I really don't know where I am going to get that done when just the basic stuff is taking up all my time. :( I really don't mean to whinge but I feel such a let down today

Well I tried to get a bit of actual sorting done today. I've got a lot of my craft stuff back into the attic and put properly in sections rather than just thrown up there. I'm hoping by doing that I'll be able to sort and find things quicker once it's a proper craft space up there. I've done quite a bit of tidying today although it doesn't took like it as I've tried to put things back into the room it belongs.

I really don't know how I'm going to get time to do a proper declutter :(

I feel a bit like that at the moment. Just getting the basics done. But I am noticing that the laundry basket is nearly empty so I am concentrating on putting the clothes away when they are ironed and automatically it makes the house look tidier. I figure that if I can keep on top of this then it will take less time and I can start to do a bit of a declutter somewhere else, and it will have a knock on effect etc etc.

    Does that make sense? xxx

Thank you ladies. I'm hoping that what CMD said will be true. By keeping on top of the day to day stuff that will free up more time to do some decluttering etc. we'll see.

This afternoon I have to clear all the clutter off the coffee table as I have a meeting tonight and they are all coming here. on one hand it saves having to get childcare but on the other hand I need to make sure the house is presentable.

So I'm about to get off here,
Put my lunch stuff in the sink ready to be washed
sort out and tidy away (not just dump somewhere else) the clutter on the coffee table.
    Wash lunch dishes
    Pack DS's swimming bag,
    Post parcel
    Pick kids up from school
    DS swimming lesson
    Home,
    Tea
Meeting 1 (being picked up, mum having kids)
Home for meeting 2 (DH will be home and will put kids to bed
    Bed for me ;)

    Ready? Go!

Afternoon all. Just got in from dropping the kiddies off to school this morning! What a busy day. I've got 20mins to have lunch before I go to pick them back up from school. Where has the day gone? I've hardly got anything done at home. I was meant to be sorting the dining room out today but haven't even managed to set foot in there yet! I might blow off my meeting tonight and do it then.

My mum gave me a bit of a lecture last night about saying "no" more often. I suppose she's right as since the kids have gone back to school and technically I have more time to myself, I haven't had any time to myself :o

Anyway best go make some lunch as DD has dancing tonight so we won't be home til 6.30pm

3rd inset day of the term! So kiddies at home with me today. Not too bad as we have toddler group this morning. In fact I'll have to wake the kids in a bit to get ready.

Then tidy the dining room and kitchen ready for visitors tomorrow. Play room also needs all the toys putting back into boxes so that the bed can be pulled out. So lots to do today. Best get cracking
