I hope you are getting some rest Starnac - sorry to hear you are exhausted.
My DD was also upset that I missed her sports dayHer team won the whole event so she told me off even more when I got home as I had missed it!
It is so hard to get the right balance with work and home life. I had sat her down to discuss what it would mean for us as a family for me to take another day off - ie a day less with her in the holidays etc.
I will have to keep an eye on the frittering too! xOrange Fairy

Morning all. Great day here! I've just checked online banking and the minimum payment has gone out on the loan leaving a balance of £33.41 so I paid it off. I rang them to check as it says on the account that the "outstanding balance is not a settlement figure" Anyway the guy on the phone confirmed that the settlement figure was indeed £33.41 so the loan is officially paid off :j :j :j :j 44months early :T

Thank you for the good wishes. Yes Greying it was lovely to type those words.
I was amazed when I saw that we still had 44 months remaining on the term  It made me smile even more
Still not quite there as we have overdrafts to pay off and building work to save for but at least we have the loan minimum payment to help us do that now. Add that to the old window loan payment and we have a nice "minimum payment" each month. :T

Payday for me today so I've done some banking etc. Filled in my monthly spends spreadsheet. It's not looking good. We went way over our food budget  and we did it with almost a million shops of under £5 each
It's mostly popping to the local shop and picking up "bits" That has got to stop!
On the up side my O/D is down by £42.54 so that's good as I didn't really try last month! I also had a cheque to cover some expenses from work but I've put that in the joint account to cover the shopping overspend
I've just realised it's the end of the month so a money update is needed. Ooh this is going to be a good oneGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

As it is payday for me, I've moved the old window loan to the building work fund. I'm aiming for £450 this month if I can. Both the old window loan min payment and the min payment on the loan we have just paid off will go to the fund. So it is doable really.
