Not quite, we still have to save for the building work we need done plus pay off our overdrafts. So not quite debt free but much much closer
We were just talking about family holidays in the car now. Ever since we came back from Disneyland DD has wanted to go back *rolls eyes* she even started a piggy bank to save for it. Fair play to her if she finds money on the floor or if she is given money it goes straight in the pot and DH and I occasionally throw money in there too.
However, in reality, at this rate, it will never be enough to go back next year which is what DD is hoping. So DH and I are planning to discuss later on, whether or not we actually are going to go next year. If so, we need a proper saving plan in place.

Aw bless her. That's so sweet!!! I reckon my 2 would love it there too!
We are going for a couple of nights to a hotel and then on to the grandparents in July. In August DH and I are going for 2 nights to Brighton to our friends 40th. Can't wait, we all went there for his 30th and DH and I talked about moving there. And then we did!
My parents are married 40 years next year, DH will be 40 and my mother will be 60 so the whole family are going on a sun holiday. Can't wait to book it!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Oooh no *shudder* I have served my Urdd time diolch!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Payday today :j I had a small incremental pay rise so this morning I have moved £82.51 over to the loan :T
I am quite pleased I've managed an extra overpayment as I thought that buying the laptop would give a very low overpayment figure this month. I mean it'll still be low compared to recent months but it won't be too bad now. I am slightly afraid of losing momentum now I am so close, and messing it up again
On the downside (downside???) I am so close to sub £2k that I am itching to pay off the [STRIKE]£61.44[/STRIKE] *ahem* £61.45 that will take me below £2k
I may go and juggle some figures. If not I get paid again tomorrow from the agency. I wonder what I can shuffle from thereGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Me again. I'm going to put this here as I haven't been keeping track properly this month
Overpayments made £344.21 if I've counted correctly. Anyway I'm sure I'll notice if I haven't when I do my monthly round up.
£344 isn't that bad really is it??Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Well I have some good news. For me anyway :rotfl: DH and I had a chat and decided that we would put our savings towards the loan. So we did. It didn't completely clear the loan but we are so close now. We paid off £1,737.98 leaving us with a balance of £323.46 :T
I'm so pleased with that. We should be able to clear that by the end of June. How exciting. Then we have to concentrate on saving for the building work and paying off our overdrafts so you don't get rid of me that easily
Overpayments made £2,082.19 :TGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Thank you. Holidays?? Do you mean going back to Disney? We had a chat about that too. We're not going to go next year now. DD's dance school are looking to audition for some kind of Disney dance camp in 2017 so we may end up going then with her. So we are going to save our pennies and get properly debt free so we can go with no worries and minimal scrimping!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
