3kg Whole Turkey or 2kg Turkey Crown £8 at Morrisons

This is the first time I buy turkey for xmas and first time for my own family and first time I cook xmas dinner to feed 3 of us,( we usually go to my in laws up in the north every year) so I bought a smallish crown about £9, its cooked perfectly just unfder 1.5 hour alone with other rosties , we ahd a first time all in one very warm xmas dinner!!! Its very tasty without any sauce, and I was well pleased, I saw evey year my in law put the whole turkey in the owen for hours and hours and kept on checking and never gets all the food ready at the same time, at the end of course the rest parts of the turkey were eneded in the bin.
so the crown is definately a good buy.

I had a crown from Morrisons....it was lovely!!!! The sign above the freezer did say'it still had the wings attached!!!!!! In fairness it was only the fat part of the wing and not the pointy bit!!!
Expect all Morrisons were showing the sign....but everyone just saw the price £8!!!!!

Ours was amazing, cooked to perfection,much better than the fresh we had last yr!

Actually the LARGE Promotional "SEL" (where there was plenty of room), rather than the usual type SEL on the back lip of the freezers, did say WINGS ON CROWN

And a "TRUE" Crown always comes with the breast bone in place.

If you remove the breast bone it becomes a "BUTTERFLY"

And to further update the experience of these £8 bargains, in addition to the 3 crowns I cooked over 2 weeks ago, I cooked a WHOLE turkey yesterday for ourselves and it was absolutely fantastic.

I don't know if the offer changed at some point but the whole turkeys advertised in the deal at our store went up to FOUR kilos - which is what I picked up only last Wednesday (22nd) - and when I got home I checked its weight and it was actually over 4 and a HALF !!! :j

did nobody watch the programme which showed the conditions in which non free-range turkeys were kept? Free-range only for me after that I'm afraid and if I can';t afford it, then free-range chicken.
