    I agree with the others, something is very wrong now. Maybe this is his way of backing off without losing face. Personally I think I would ignore the situation now,leave it in his hands and wait for his next move. The longer he leaves it the better for you.

    I think ebay must be cursed, the number of people who are taken ill when something doesn't go their way!

    I think Id ignore him completely now, perhaps just a reply stating you died this morning but thought you would drop an email to him to let him know :)

    I certainly wouldnt even entertain a refund now. Take back your offer of a refund and tell him he can keep it.

    Can I suggest that in said email, you include details of your will executor so that he may contact them as a debtor? Then he'll REALLY know what "being prepared to wait" is all about!
