It's snowing heavily here!
MG: Glad to see you back and with broadband.
I need some prodding or pointing in the right direction. I am so fed up of feeling bleugh and broke (see my diary for full story) that at the moment can't see a way forward. I know part of it is bronchitis but I feel I've lost my positivity and way!:mad:Any suggestions please?
I think you first and foremost give yourself time to get better. Your body is fighting a nasty infection and as such you're gonna feel drained in every way. To push yourself now would mean 2 steps back later.
Take one day at a time and I suppose I would focus on the simple things that make me happy, pamper and nourish and once you're firing on all 4 cylinders then move on to the positivity etc.scottishlass wrote: »Well the snow is still coming down hereBut I've just become an Auntie gain so

Robsmum, bronchitis is nasty so just so baby steps lovey and will catch up on your diary later. I feel a bit yucky too but have decided to absolutely fight it. Making lovely soup tonight so I get my veg and bought a new dress from work today so that I will feel more smart and glam whilst there. Also invested in wellies today so i will be dry and warm too.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts. Today is getting worse - we now have frozen snow and ice outside our house and its treachorous just venturing onto the drive area and all the local children have oh so kindly been sliding on it:eek: also heard this afternoon that the old lady I'd been looking after until she had a stroke(still looking after her house) died this morning. For her it's a blessed release but still sad. Another of our villages characters gone.
Just had stew and dumplings and shortly off for a soak in the bath and bed.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Left home this morning with 2-3" of snow, driving not great, but passable.
Got to work, 8 miles away = NOTHING!!!
Was chatting to my mum yesterday who works at a local primary school - their 'snow policy' (for staff) is that "if they live under 5 miles from the school, they should walk-in!!" Narrow country lanes etc? I think not - luckily my mum agreed!
Oooohhhhh where abouts in Kent are you. My main drive is motorway and all was fine. Luckly I love quite close to a main road and they have all been gritted. A friend and I are car sharing until the weather improves bur we have to go to work!

How does the "scabby turtles" meal come together. The ingredients are all things I like, so I am intrigued0
