    Hmmm - how about slugs?

Anyway I have only tackled couple of tiny ones this morning - I know, I know I should go for the biggie first.

................... and I've just "removed" about 30 snails from our garden. They have been relocated in a green damp area about 100 yds away, so hopefully they won't return. My neighbour is all for putting down slug pellets - but with little fingers helping etc I'm a little wary.

Planted loas of seeds this morning - mostly herbs that we like for cooking, but other bits too. This afternoon we are creating our "self watering" pots and then its onto the hard digging stuff.

It's hard work this home schooling:D

On the "rooms front" I have now sourced enough coloured paint for DS2's new room, a sand colour for mine and enough buttermilk for the hallway. So I thnk I will only have to go and find plain white emulsion.

I've even found a couple of rolls of blue checked paper that would be fantastic for DS2's room. I've now got feature wall paper for my room, DS2's room and the large letting room - so I think a trip ont Youtube to find out how to paper is in order:cool:

Pooped!!! The boys and I have gardened till we dropped. No1 is in the bath and No2 needs to follow asap.

Got some salad greens done, onions and radish and lots of varieties of beans and peas started, some tomates to sow tonight after DS2 is in bed. One thing I am short of is spinach - and spinach is a favourite in this house so I hope LIDL has some seeds. One thing we are not short of is beans (but then we eat so many I'm sure they won't go to waste)

Joiner over the road popped his head in - apparently he has a mate who has some "not regular size" plasterboard - so he is off to investigate. Fingers crossed for a cheap deal.

Tea, tea, tea ................. I need a cup of tea:rotfl:

What kind of spinach do you grow MG? I've never had any luck with 'normal' spinach but the winter or beet types seem to be OK.

Usually just the "perpetual" spinach -throw it in a shady area and keep damp - and I have a north facing set of beds that are perfect. Seems to be if they get even a little hot they bolt.

Mind you we like chard, kale and all sorts of green leafies here - especially in spinach lasagne and stuffed pancakes.
