Aww that's a shame Marru
sorry to hear its gone.

Thats a shame Marru - can you not go onto a monthly recurring contract so that you can keep looking to move when it is easier to you. It usually means gving plenty of notice - but up here you are not charged for rolling the contract onto a monthly one IYSWIM.
Car is back outside my door - suppose I'd better think about cleaning it now that its fully MOT'd again:cool:
On the "rooms" front - have found enough "Karndean" flooring to do my "bathroom to be" - which will be when I have some money to do it:rotfl:.Cost FREE!!!!
Have also got some bi-fold doors for DS2's bedroom (built in cupboard) which are a much beter fit than the three sliding doors I got at the weekend. Cost £10 for two.
The sliding doors are now destined for my bedroom (I don't have a wardrobe just a coat rack) - a quick coat of eggshell and the will be perfect. Cost £30
So I have spent £40 of my £500 so far - and owe Dad some money fr the 3 x 2 he has found me too.
Now off to find the best price for 18 sheets of plasterboard.......... Oh I know how to live.:D
First though I'm going to iron my bedding and make my bed again - because there is nothing worse than traipsing through to your bedroom at bedtime and the bed is in bits :rotfl:

Considering the Gazette ceased production in the late 90's I am pretty sure the brakes are off and she's enjoying her savingsMemory_Girl wrote: »My kids:eek::eek: ............................... OMG!!! are they liabilities????:rotfl:
My husband.....hmmmm is he an asset or a liability? OK he does all the ironing so that is definately an asset. He spends far too much at the supermarket so that's a liability.......What a quandry :rotfl:
Sorry to the Cottage has gone Marru. Perhaps that's because there is a superb cottage in a better location just waiting for you

I am taking this very seriously, I am afraid. Husbands can be either - they are a bit like possessions without being possessions in the strict sense. Does you husband bring money in your pocket? Or spends the money out of your pocket?
This sounds so wrong...I think that children are certainly a liability but husbands (OHs) are difficult to place. I friend from the Caribean was telling me that people there see their children as an investment - which means that they rely on them to provide after a certain point.
Go figure.

Well my H earns the bulk of the money so for that he's an asset but he's also the spendthrift between us so money can flow through his fingers as fast as he makes it given the chance
Kids and cars (and scooter and bicycles) most definately ARE liabilities :eek:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
