  • I thought there were only 2 accounting jokes - and both are a little bit rude really :)

    Staff are only liabilities because they cost money, not because they are naughty!!!

    My kids:eek::eek: ............................... OMG!!! are they liabilities????:rotfl:

    MG

    Yep - my ranked list of liabilities is the following:

    1) Children
    2) House
    3) Car

    However, I am yet to get to the fact that whilst liabilities should be seen for what they are there are necessary liabilities.

    Have you calculated your net worth yet? Very useful in terms of deciding which way to go - and the categories (most of them) are on my blog.

    This is probably best expressed in Marxian terms: labour is one side of the production relationship; the other is capital. In some cases labour and capital are a unity (academics, researchers, intellectuals).

    What are the two similarities between accountants and cleaners?

    1) You only notice their work if it hasn't been done

    2) They both clean mess made by other people

    Ok getting my coat....where is that kettle...

    Well I'm dressed, kitchen and living room has been cleaned, washing on the line, now I feel absolutely awful and shaky again, and I'm back in the loo :(

    Won't be going anywhere again today, hope it clears up soon, or I won't be able to make Ds2 rocket cake for his birthday Weds, Although I'm sure if I ask next door she will do it.

    I'm the same as you MG I have a sewing machine plus a knitting machine that hasn't cost me anything they were both given to me, granted the knitting machine I have had for 17 years so needs a bit of TLC, needed new needles which cost £18 and a new needle retainer bar which cost £10, I love knitted jumpers and the boys like plain knitted cardi's, so If I can get the machine to knit again, I can save money on our woollens, plus maybe knit some stuff to sell.

    Oh well, the cottage was gone. Went to see another place but it just didn't feel right. Will contact my present agency tomorrow morning to sort out the contract to continue here. We are staying put.
