Great thread! HM choccies .... more self employment ... capital repayment ... and I totally agree with Crickett and Greenbee (and everyone else, actually!) about focussing on the positive, changing what you can, ignoring the rest. I think it was Honda, of all people, who had an advert for a new diesel engine, that I loved so much I downloaded it: "hate something, change something, hate something change something, make something better!"
I'm off out for the day, hope all goes well.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well today is a day at work and then whistling home for a charge round the house with a hoover and a duster. We have our Financial Adviser coming round this evening to have a word about what kind of mortgage we are likely to get when we sell our house. I am looking forward to the discussion... although I am slightly scared as well. My life experience + Mortgages has never been very good, despite it being okay with hubby. So I am ultra cautious when it comes to this kind of thing.
Tomorrow I am not going to be around much, if at all. I have a singing engagement at church all morning tomorrow, and then I am home again to meet the estate agent and hopefully would out a way of getting the sign up outside of our house! Then the world will know our house is up for sale, and what a lovely place it is!
Thursday is back in the office to scoot through as much work as is humanly possible! As usual!
Right... best get on with it then. If I don't manage to get back to you... have a lovely Easter holiday, and I'll see you on the other side!

Just to report that I have eaten the ugliest and biggest frog for today - something I have been avoiding for several months, in fact. And it feels good; better than good - it feels fabulous. Now to the next frog and after that I am off South to write with friend and co-author.

I pinned up my "big cheque" this morning again - its on the back of door. I'm programming to attract more money in to our lives.
Went off to pick up my MOT certificate (the computer was playing silly beggars yesterday so although it passed I could only get the piece of paper today)
Was driving home - when it suddenly struck me. The Big Horse bank have £136 in a savings account that they froze too. So got home and transferred the money from the account into the mortgage account and topped it up with £32 to make my first mortgage capital payment :j
Now the game is on to make another payment by the end of the month to bring my MFW date forward a whole month:T
NOt a frog really - but made me happy

Going to venture into town today to get stuff for ds2 birthday cake.
Hopefully the needles for the knitting machine will be here too, so I can potter about on that, I may even take it out the garden and have a go in the sun

Fab news MG, and well done to others on the positivity! It really does make a difference to how you feel, and how you deal with people I think, which can make working relationships so much better :T
I like the idea of doing the scary thing first, but I must confess that I *love* frogs, and feel a special affinity with themI have a little silver frog on a necklace, apparently they are a symbol of something that facilitates the miraculous, and I like that so much I'm afraid I'm reluctant to eat them :rotfl:
So - my task for the day - think of something else disgusting that I can eat and get over and done with, that isn't a lovely miracle-facilitating frog:rotfl:
