With regard to horse poo You can use horse poo, straight from the paddock, fresh and green and steaming, it is excellent as a fertiliser when fresh and excellent bulk when old.
The fresher it is the more nutrients in it but when old it has little nutrient value but is still excellent to encourage worms into your garden.
The only exception is when a horse has been dewormed. The anti-parisite medication will pass into their manure and into your ground, at that time it is wise to let the manure sit for a few weeks to let it cure.
Old horse manure that has been in a heap and composted naturally is the most excellent compost as well as bovine (cow pats)lol.
Dog poop unfortunately is not so good because dogs are carnivores essentially and herbivore animal poo is much better at helping fertilise stuff fresh with the nutrients.
Asked my dad, he knows loads about gardening, my knowledge is limited to hanging baskets and tubs and gro-bags lol.0 -
I leave you all for a couple of days and you talk utter poo
We're hopefully exchanging next week:T

But think:
You already have £3.80; 10 to 1 within two week will be £38. Another roll of this and another 2 weeks - £380. After that most people loose their nerve and start looking for safer things with lower return.
It is not only the rate of return though but the time cycle that matter as well.
Go for it!

Might not seem hard to get that kind of return FW, but HOW would be a good starating point, I have no clue, am not stupid but wouldnt even know where to begin. Clues would be good please lol0 -
Morning Matrix-ers
Dullity dull hereCome back sunshine, kinda got used to seeing you!
My table at the table top is heaving so lots of positive vibes that I sell it all and come back with nothingIt's not til 11 and lasts for a couple of hours. In a warm hall, sitting on a chair......far nicer than outside at a carboot at some ungodly hour
Mission is today to put some more teak oil on the garden furniture. One load of washing is outside in a vain attempt to dry it and another one is currently in the WM.
Gemmzie - woo hoo exchanging contracts. How soon do you think you can move in?! :T
fantasia - thanks for the pics of Bailey, lovely to see him thriving
crickett - good luck with your house sale x
MG - not sure if this is any use to you but you can make a liquid fertilizer from nettles
Have a lovely Sunday everyone. Must say am sick of this changing the clocks malarky. Be interesting to see if DS's body adjusts to the change as he doesn't normally go off to sleep until 9pm........I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I'm challenged by the ROI too - but willing to play along a little. IN the meantime my baby steps with every penny popped over to the big horse bank is the plan (until I pick up with the Mentors again in May) - and until I have some more oooomph!!!
BTW - once I can pay off the BIg Horse Bank, I will be able to rent out my house for a year. Current LHA rates are £860 pcm - with my mortgage at £230 - so would have a lot of wriggle room if rates start to escalate ..................... why???? well I am still carving that out and will post it on the other side.
But I know I want to be clear of them by the beginning of September.
So my double or quits to Big Horse Bank debt freedom looks like this:
80p - this was my seed money and found down the back of my sofa. I bought a linen teatowel, turned it into an apron and sold it for
£1.90 - as I was delivering the apron, a Gran ordered a set of home made playdoh which I sold for
£3.80 - which I used to buy a pair of fabulous Retro Swedish print curtains to make a really cool tote bag pattern that I have. Sell the bag for £5.00 each which meets a later target of £30.00. So make 5 more aprons and sell to mums at playgroup for the kids for £1.50 each, making £7.50
£7.60 - Make 6 patchwork quilt, shabby chic peg holders to sell at carboot sale for £2.50 each, making £15.00
£15.00 Make 20 crayon rolls as "party bag" or birthday gift sets and sell to mums at playgroup for £1.50 each
£30.00 - the swedish tote bags from before. Then make 5 patchwork cot quilts and sell to Mums in playgroup for £12 each - lots of new babies due n Summer / Autumn making £60
£61 - sell 122 PDF craft pattern tutorials for a pound each making £122
£122 - Sell 122 craft kits for £2 at the car boot sale for £2 each making £244
£244 Sell 32 of my books at £15.00, making £480
£488 TBA
£976 Have 32 people. 6 at a time for 5 days in total in my home studio teaching Mind Mapping, Memory and Study Skills for Exam Success, making £1920
£1953 5 months of standard debt repayment of £320 pcm = £1600. Balance of £2306 to find to get to target (TBA)
£3906 PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The stuff that is TBA is because I need to have a closer look around my house to see what I can leverage into sales. But everything else can be created out of bits and pieces I have here to hand. Crafting really doesn't pay very well, but if doesn't cost me anything but some time than that is a good use of my evenings for a little while whilst I recuperate.
Even better - everything can be done with staggering distance of the sofa - although this morning the sun is out and I feel pretty good. I still lose my energy in the afternons though so I had better go and make the best of it this morning.

Oh, I know. One doesn't have to be stupid to feel lost when it comes to making money - and I don't believe in 'stupid' anyway. There are only people who have never discovered their gift. Let face it, my natural gift is not probably for making money either but I have been reading and practicing.
We probably will need to do more of this on the other side. As a rule this kind of returns come from investing in businesses (growing ones and, I believe, directly investing), identifying a product and selling it on the internet using a top notch website and copy (example are the elastic colourful bands all children wanted - cost a tenth of a pence to make and retailed for £2) and/or selling an infomation product. Finding something that suits you can take time, needs to be tested and should always be seen as temporary. My biggest problem is with the last one - I am used to secure employment and tenure and things. But people from my generation will have to get used to the fact that things are fluid and it is about making money not changing the world - this can come later.
Last summer after posting the calculation on my tread I decided to test it. We bought light bulbs (saving ones) at the value of £6.50 (there was a deal in one of the shops). We knew they are very expensive in Bulgaria - £7-10 a piece. So we took them there and sold them in bulk to a shop; making £65 in the process. Exactly 10 to one. But then I thought 'I can do it but it is not my job'. Now I start thinking again that it is my job.

MG, is this cumulative? Doesn't appear to be? I need to think about this one but there probably is another way.

So lovely to see Bailey doing good recovery. He seems so content now. I have posted an update to QT forum as a thank you and hoping that more healing energy is flying his way. And fantastic that people here have joined in. :j
There was a challenge thread here some time ago where people tried to turn 10 pounds into 1000 or was it higher. But I couldn't for the life of me find it.
We had a lovely morning activity here. DD got out all her dogs (stuffed toy variety), arranged them in size order and counted them. 26 there were :rotfl: she is as bad as me. I would have 26 real ones given half the chance."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
