Lovely kitchen - mine looks really scruffy and sad and unfinished now.

When I feel better I will take up the challenge of a "Make Do and Mend" Kitchen Makeover to cheer it up for the summer.

Here's mine - before eyes, but I messed up his ears:

I really struggled sewing this arms, legs ears and mouth on, couldn't hold them properly in my hand, while I sewed with my good hand. The lady was pleased with him though.

Did you try pinning the arms and legs on first? That might make it easier?

Or do you (or Hubby) have a workmate or clamp you could attach him to the table with, then you won't have to hold him as you sew
