Speaker was Neil Griffiths inventor of the Story Sack. Wickedly funny bloke, passionate about reading (even Heat magazine which is his guilty pleasure :rotfl:) and doesn't approve of all this box ticking that we have to keep doing :T
Claire - Don't be too despondent about lack of sales. Was the cost of the stall very high??
Not much going on here today. Shattered after some late nights and interupted sleep and bad back. Might send kids out into the garden this morning to burn off some energy or if I can muster the energy myself take them to the park.
Must get out and feed the birds, they're getting through the seeds and peanuts really quick :T
Have wonderful Sunday all of you x
£10 for the stall, not bad price, dunno why I never sold, people were looking, the other jewellery stall there sold, but her stuff was stunning, and completely different to mine.
Never mind though, will give it a miss for a few weeks I think till the market is more established, then have another go.
Bitsy haven't forgotten about you, just skint till Tuesday.
Been asked to try and make sock monkeys for a mates stall to, that will be a challenge.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Morning all, its quiet here this weekend, I guess that is down to the sunny but cold weather.
Claire I wouldnt worry too much re the sales. If the other ladies jewellery was different to yours then it may just have been that days customers had different taste. I think Bitsy means some kind of shopping basket on your website rather than ordering via email. They just order and pay. Not sure though.
Bitsy, I know what you mean about feeding the birds. Although Sidney the Starling and his mates keep frightening away my tits and chaffinches so I think they are eating it all.
Busy day here, more boxes to empty and a couple of trips to tip. I have also been considering doing some kind of giveaway on my homepage but cant decide what to give. Might have to have a good think about that. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. That's the kind of thing. I think it would help you get passing trade if you had some 'stock' items that people could see and just order and pay for online at the drop of a hat while browsing at stupid hours of the day and night.
Don't know where I got that idea from  *coughAmazoncough*Please call me 'Pickle'

Bitsy - I don't know where you live, but if you ever fancy coming to visit Jodrell Bank (and give me notice so I can extract my place out of CHAOS (i.e. can't have anyone over syndrome)), I have space for a family to stay.
And you could come to tea with Pickle, Dedicated, FW, maybe Cheery and me
p.s. and the MOSI is brill for anyone who likes machines, trains etc (it is free) ... er and it's in the metropolis with the shoe and bag shops!!!!0 -

Me too Cheri, but :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: at CHAOS!
I used to have that, but I am better now:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Cheri - I did offer to come and help dig your garden on Pippi's thread (I think...), you are left of me and towards the sea I think
It was a genuine offer, 'cos it means I can leave the chaos at home(I have a small tent and therefore need a small lawn and shower facilities)
Blimey, just re-read that ... I'm OK really, just under-employed and deciding to enjoy life and not stress too much. And you have a doggie as well0 -
Thanks NL. Unfortunately I also need to extract the house from CHAOS (love it) and we have no lawn!!! I may hold you to the offer at some point in the future though, should my organisational skills for this house return and the will to do it follows thereafter. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons.
