    hope I'm not too late, positive vibes winging their way south for your H, Bitsy.
  • Yes - positive thingies to Bitsy's hubbie, but what is this "interview preparation" you speak of?

    I am going to assume that they are a different breed than the ones I need to make sure the plane gets in the air on Sunday, and then lands on the other side with out too many bumps. I really don't like landing!

    So yes, this is my official 'permission to have a week off' request! I will be about tomorrow, and then back on the 15th March. V excited!
  • Have a lovely time off TMIF...! :D You lucky thing you. I am not allowed any time off... although I am DESPERATE for a break!! Ah well, the joys of budgeting!! :D

  • What do you mean, you're not allowed time off?

    Get some thing in the diary. The place won't stop with out you!

    (We're not meant to take leave over Year End, but my boss ALWAYS does)
  • I've done the staff forecast - still have to fiddle with the non-staff. (£32k on stationery - hmmmph I don't think so :)))

    Nope... I tried, but my boss won't let me. :( I am not allowed time off during budgeting and year end... though it doesn't seem to stop them. :( One of the many reasons I would like to escape from here.

    I have put everything in the budgeting model; I now need to check it all makes sense. I have been having lots of conversations along the lines of "you do not need to budget 60K for accommodation costs. You only spent £3K last year." Sigh. :D

    Why have I just had to explain to my boss that she can't spend the variance between budgeted and actual Income?

    Oh dear. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

    My favorite saying is "a budget is a limit. It is not a target." It takes people a while to work that one out!!
