Yep, waxing, bra's, and all the other bits and bobs that keep cropping up.
Am going to throw another spanner in the works now lol.
    Knickers.!!!!!!!!!!!

Hanging them on the washing line. Do you or don't you.?
Next door neighbour puts hers on the line and they are large enough to go hang-gliding in. Look a bit like a wind-sock on an airfield.
I don't make a habit of noticing these things :rotfl::rotfl:, but her drawers are so large and she's only a skinny little thing.
I hang everything out, but elderly neighbour on other side asked me to take mine in as she did'nt want her husband to see. Erm, sorry my garden, my washing-line and I'll hang out what I like.

    Weird or what?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Goodness - I've never heard of anyone being asked not to hang out their knickers!!! Nextdoor's hubby is obviously easily lead astray and needs a longer list of chores to do before bedtime to keep his mind otherwise occupied!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I hang mine out but with one peg on the gusset. That way it's difficult to see exactly what they're like - and I don't go for huge granny pants - even at my age!!!!
Spooky - I was just thinking Thank God it's hump day today :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That's the first time I've come across humpday as well. I also nearly spat my tea all over the laptop - so it could have been an expensive afternoon!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well, I'm certainly learning a lot on here this afternoon!

Lots of love to people in need - anniversaries of loss are incredibly difficult, particularly in the early years. Now I sometimes forget my parents' anniversaries till the next day and then feel guilty. This year was the first time I forgot my Mum's - 16 years. I guess you get used to most things in the end. The only one I remember without fail is my baby son. Even after 39 years. This year was particularly difficult as I had to go to the funeral of a neighbour on that day. I didn't tell anyone but I couldn't cry because even after all this time I knew if I started I'd never stop.

Claire - take care. You work so hardand achieve so much I sometimes feel tired just reading your posts. Take a step backwards from time to time and do things just for you.

OOMMGGG !! I'm sore :( Mate put me in a taxi to come home I could hardly put one foot in front of the other, luckily other mate took her son up to her mums,

Need to take painkillers wait for them to kick in and have a quick clean, as my beads are being delivered tonight :) and the house is untidy, fair play to ds1, he has cleaned the kitchen and swept the floor, so I just need to put hoover over the living/dining room and find somewhere for the computer table to go.

A colleague in the states tells me that he hasn't dried washing on the line for 40 years as it's against the rules in most housing developments!

Well, I leave you all alone for a day and what happens? Anybody heard from MG?

Fantasia, I am soooooooo excited for you. Re funerals, I am not so bad at a funeral but terrible at a cremation. I hate it when the curtain comes down. At my Nanas funeral we arrived at the chapel and when we walked in they were playing Bright Eyes (my Nan's favourite) everybody was filing in and I stopped in my tracks, put my arms out to close off the door and started shouting "who the hell picked this" my Mum tried to calm me down but I completely lost the plot shouting "Have you heard the bloody words? Are you mad woman". It is now a standing joke in the family so we actually laugh now about my Nans funeral. Mind you just before the funeral we were stood in her garden waiting for the hearst when we heard somebody laughing like the laughing policeman at Blackppol Pleasure Beach. I went to the fence to tell them off and to have some respect and was met by a Macaw who just kept laughing. It ended up that 4 of us were in the garden crying laughing. Then to add even more fun to her funeral, my Uncle collected her ashes and had them in the boot of his car. Left the car to go into a shop and when he came out the car had been stolen :eek. The car did turn up in the exact spot it had been stolen from 2 days later with her ashes in tact but the boot lock borken. We thought that was hilarious and said that she would have loved to go on a joy ride!
Now whenever we have a family funeral we hope that it will be as much madness as my Nana's

Susan, I think that it is more important as the years go by that you remember people as a memory catches you rather than focusing on anniversaries and that comes with time. I couldnt tell you the dates that my grandparents died now because I just dont remember. I am so sorry to hear that you havent been able to cry for you son. How hard it must be for you. My sister is exactly the same with the loss of her daughter. She says that she cant allow herself to cry for the same reasons. It has been 26 years this year. (((hugs)))

    As for humpday................. no comment!!

ETA - by the way, thanks for the good wishes. The presentation went well, despite being cut down from 40 minutes to 15 due to the previous session overrunning and having to think on my feet. Signing was really good.

I'm soooo excited today - I had a really great meeting with a person who can really help me with my project. Woo! Very good vibes to everybody, there's so much cool stuff just waiting to happen (as well as the carp :rotfl:)

It was a bit risque to hang out your knicks at the guest house in Uganda, but I just went for it. How can anyone think they are rude?! Mine are not fancy but I brought only the nice ones, not those straggly grey ones at the bottom of the drawer. Later the landlord told me about this German guy who used to hang around the guest house in just his man pants. Apparently the staff had been scandalised for days! Hehe...

CM - I've been going back through the thread to find out why people were talking about deaths and funerals, and just now found your post. I'm so sorry for what you went through - the way she died must magnify the trauma so much. I hope today has been okay, and you (and your family) have been able to talk about it all - and talk about the good times that there were, too.

    Good morning

I was debating to go back to bed this morning, but thought no, I can get stuff done if I am up :)

ao washing from last nigh has been sorted on rads and tumble and another load in.

throws etc tidied on settee's that is all I have managed so far, cause I'm very sore, just having my breakfast then I can take pain killers.

Had a quick nosey at the beads last night, wow!!! there are some stunning pieces in the box, and beads I would not normally buy :) so Once the painkillers set in and I have cleaned the kitchen I will have a good sort of them and have a think what I can make and what beads will be bagged to sell.
