It's the top of the hump in a normal distribution curve diagram.

I.e. in a normal working week, you're right at the top by Wednesday lunchtime...

Oh dear - DH will be disappointed :D

Ooooh normal distribution curves - I like them - they are the only way I can make sense of my life - more than two standard deviations from the mean (hump) that's me - on which side I don't know :rotfl:

I think I've been sniffing too much cleaning fluid - best go feed the young man and settle down.

I like to think of myself as a little obscure too....

And then I think about what I did yesterday (i.e. kitchen buying) and I realise I am smack bang in the middle of normal, right on the mean line... bah.

I am so normal, it hurts... oh to be a little bit squiffy.

Although, when I was a kid, mum used to tell me "the only normal, was the setting on the tumble drier". (Oh how I wish for the demented sayings of mute mother now...)

This thread never ceases to amaze me from funerals and loss to humps of all varieties.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:It's why I love it here.

For me with my Mum, last year (year 5) was the hardest. I felt everyone had forgotten her but me and my older sister.

Humps - my OH hates Tuesday he reckons it's a useless day neither near the weekend or the start of the week:eek:

Yep, waxing, bra's, and all the other bits and bobs that keep cropping up.
Am going to throw another spanner in the works now lol.
    Knickers.!!!!!!!!!!!

Hanging them on the washing line. Do you or don't you.?
Next door neighbour puts hers on the line and they are large enough to go hang-gliding in. Look a bit like a wind-sock on an airfield.
I don't make a habit of noticing these things :rotfl::rotfl:, but her drawers are so large and she's only a skinny little thing.
I hang everything out, but elderly neighbour on other side asked me to take mine in as she did'nt want her husband to see. Erm, sorry my garden, my washing-line and I'll hang out what I like.

    Weird or what?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Please tell me that Wednesday is called hump day as it's now nearer the end of the week than the beginning - and it's not an order of the marital kind?:o

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Marital unpleasantness nooooooooo :eek:

:rotfl::rotfl: she's probably worried her husband might get a bit excited at the sight of your drawers ;):p

I hang mine out, how else am I going to get the white back into my greying knickers ;) :rotfl:

Had a giggle at this thread today so thanks. Went to Forest Schools with DS who had a meltdown as we were coming back :( I feel a new social story going to be written about how mommy is allowed to run over the fields like all the other children ;)
Nipping through some housework before the school run starts again. Nothing else exciting going on apart from some alphabet die cutters have arrived in the post so looking forward to having a play with those tomorrow :T

Cheri - hope presentation went well :D

Claire - Hope you feel better and yes you need to practice saying the word no more often. Repeat after me "No, I am sorry I am unable to help you this time because.........[fill in the blank]".

fantasia - £150 seems like a very generous donation to me. Am really excited for you :D

Sorry if I've missed anyone, doing this in a rush :o

Lots of positive vibes for you all x

I think I am a serial funeral attendee :( In the village I grew up in the local farmer* went to every funeral and said that he would hate it if nobody turned up for his and it stuck with me. So I go to as many as I can to either pay my last respects or to support the friend who has lost someone close.
    * For his funeral the whole village turned up along with many of us that had moved away and it was standing room only. I was so pleased for him :T

Humps :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: My OH would be looking hopefully at that too :D

Fantasia - Glad things are working out for Leyla's arrival :j

My underwear go on the washing line as often as possible. If it excites the neighbours, that is their problem!!!

Normal - My old Dr always used to ask if something was normal for you which I thought was a lovely way of putting things. When asked if I am normal I always answer YES, whatever normal is :)

What I want to do is make a donation of £150 to the Pet Ambulance, and I'd like peoples opinions, is this reasonable, too little, or more./?????????
Opinions would be greatly appreciated. :):)
Thanks for the affirmations people. Much appreciated. We have asked the driver and volunteer to stay for dinner on Thursday evening. Seemed the right thing to do because they are arrriving here at 7.00 in the evening and will stay till Leyla settles, then heading back to Glasgow where they are based. So its all good.

Sounds very generous to me :) I love dogs and it's lovely reading all your posts. Leyla is a very lucky doggy to have found herself such a good home. Hope you have lots of fun with her.

LOL @ the knickers on the washing line:rotfl:I tend to dry mine on the radiators but when I do put them on the line I make sure it's only the very pretty ones:rotfl:

:rotfl: about the knickers on the washing line! We haven't got a washing line, and our entire garden (front, back and side) goes straight onto the pavement. However, last summer I ReALLY wanted to hang my washing out, so put it all on a clothes maiden thing and propped it up against the wall, with knickers underneath, and a sheet over the top.

Half an hour later, the old lady over the road knocked on the door to tell me my washing had fallen over - and yep, there were my knickers all spread out on the ground, covering the back way between the road and 6 other houses :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: (fortunately that was before I started my current fancy-knicker-buying spree :rotfl: :rotfl:) Now if they go outside they're firmly pegged onto one of those round hanger peg things! :fotfl: :rotfl:
