Thanks for update MG's mum. Much appreciated, hope you are feeling better yourself.

Yay:eek::eek::eek::eek:6 hours and 55 mins till Leyla arrives. (Can you tell I'm counting :rotfl:). No of course you can't.

I'm so excited and feel just like a kid at christmas, but this is better because this has been 1 of my wants, and to-do's for about 4 years now. And at 7 0'clock it will be a major TADA.

Its taught me one thing though (with a push in the right direction from Cherisong). If I really want it, and its meant to be, then I can make things happen. Just have to find the confidence to apply it to other areas of my life.

Will keep everyone updated with her progress and post pix (I've tried and keep failing miserably lol). I am going to keep a photo diary on Leyla though, because she is very thin atm, so some before and after pix I think.

I better stop waffling now, positive vibes to all who need them, hugs to those that need 1 too (((())))),
And a massive thank you to everyone for all the encouragement over Leyla.
You are all aaaammmmaaaazzzziiiinnnngggg.:j:j:j:j:):):):) and your all :A:A:A:A.

    Thank you xxxx

Thanks for keeping us up-to-date MG's Mum :). I hope you are well and looking after yourself.

Wow - a techno-free week. I have greatly reduced my t'internet time since new year and yes, you do get so much more achieved. Although, I would definitely miss it if I didn't have it - when you spend as much time in the house as I do, it definitely becomes your link with the outside world and with other people.

Hope everyone is having a productive day - today I have decluttered and cleaned the front porch and the understairs cupboard. I still have another couple of hours to do in the kitchen and then I can switch to my decorating persona and start to attack the porch and kitchen. Ironing needs done as well - booo.

You know, this keeping a house and feeding and clothing a family malarkey don't half get in the way of your plans :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Eta: awwww bless Fantasia - your excitement is jumping off the page. Hope you suss loading pics soon. (((Hugs)))

:D:D:D to you Fantasia, so glad it has all come together for you.

(Today I am working on an outline of the whole thesis. Deciding what each chapter should be about is exciting, and I had more of an idea what it should look like than I thought :))

  • Oooohh Fantasia so excited for you.

Thanks for update MGs mum - was wondering where MG was hiding - all makes sense now.

Well having a lazy day watching two DVDs that no one else fancied watching - feels very decadent doing this during the day but it is a bit of a one off treat so no harm done and no one was hurt.......

Hope that you feel a bit better soon Claire once the painkillers kick in. Enjoy the beads. If you have any beads like those Mirano glass squares I so like I will be very green with envy.

Well done Pickle and Lara with your work successess.

Fantasia - I am loving your excitement. Like being a kid on Christmas morning :D

    Quick TADA list from me:

    Dusted and tidied kids bedrooms
    Dusted our bedroom
Cleaned DS's bedroom windows inside and out
Cleaned bathroom windows inside and out
Hung one load of washing (admittedly it was put in last night :o)
    Second load in WM

Having to stop as I was doing a lot of bending doing the windows (hanging out of the window to access them) and I can feel my spine over extending in the lumbar region - will end up in pain and unable to move properly if I don't take it steady. So just sent email to accept DD's nursery place :D, let the cat out for the first time a little while ago. She'd been going beserk in the house and I thought she's got a day and a half before her stitches come out so I let her have a little explore. She's now squeaking like mad to go out again but sky's gone horrible and it looks like it's going to chuck it down :( She's now having a mad half hour running around like a loon upstairs!

Can't keep away! It is lunchtime, I've done all housework things but a bit of ironing. Done the paperwork and reached application form stage so am making good progress.
Just needed a break from application forms - I hate them!

Hello all - has my membership been revoked yet? I've been shamefully neglectful, and I am so sorry - I've been busy elsewhere on MSE but just couldn't get my head around coming here I'm afraid...more on that in a bit.

MG's no technology week sounds...challenging! I can imagine it will be driving her mad! when we're in the Hebrides we simply never turn the TV on at all, and even the car radio goes on very rarely which is odd because here I'm hardly ever without the radio on, or music, or something. It's become a bit of a tradition now though - we get to the ferry terminal to go over, and off goes the radio, it's almost symbolic now! We don't use mobiles much either - coverage is patchy at best, MrEH just tends to turn his off a lot of the time, or even leave it at the cottage. We have internet, but I tend to have a break from forums, facebook etc. I do still follow Twitter though.
To everyone who's had a loss or a traumatic anniversary please accept my condolences - I've not (am am not going to pretend I have) read right back over the thread, just the last few pages, but enough to get the flavour of what's happening right now.
Claire sounds like you're still doing well - good for you, but don't push yourself too hard either, just hard enough to challenge will be fine!
Fantasia - a four legged new arrival I take it? How exciting, no wonder you're jumping about the place!

So.....why have I been avoiding this place then? Well it all started with the 100 day challenge - I did quite well on most of it, well, nearly all of it in fact, but you might remember that my "biggie" that I KNEW was going to be a challenge, was to get two more clients for my office services business. It proved to be too much of a challenge - and the fear of doing it, plus then the horrible weather we had in December, meant that not only did I not get my two new clients, I failed completely to even try. :o Honestly, everyone else seemed to have done so well that I just didn't feel I could stroll in and say that I had failed quite so abysmally, plus I felt really bad about it myself. < That's how I felt. At myself I hasten to add. In fact, make that :mad::mad:. So - where am I now.....well I still have my regular client who I do two days a week for, and the Avon stuff is going well too - I now have a customer base of 30 from the 110 houses I deliver books too, which is a pretty good hit rate. last campaign I earnt about £70 after I'd paid for my books etc, this time will be a bit lower at about £40 but that's OK, they do vary. Regular client is talking about maybe taking me on for a third day in the week later in the year which is god, and I have now started getting leaflets out there to small business units in the area. A friend is going to do a basic website for me too which is excellent. So there you have it. I'm very :o but am back now, if you'll have me. :)
