Do keep us posted on your progress, as you say it is exciting taking on something completely new. Have you booked lessons or are you just taking yourself down the pool?

    Hi Helen,

I took swimming leasons many years ago,I was OK as long as my feet could touch the bottom of the pool, when the class progressed to the deeper end of the pool I stopped going,I have a great fear of deep water. So I have spent year going on holidays sitting with my toes in the water and I have missed out on years of fun with DS because of my fear. I would love to be able to swim a full lenght of the pool,so OH and I are going to go swimming once a week and build up my confidence in the water, OH swims like a fish.By the end of the 100 days I want to be able to go to the swimming pool by myself, even if it is with my feet touching the bottom of the pool now and again.:)

Think I will change that goal to being more confident in the water. Thanks Helen.

Wow there's so much room in here now that bloomin' elephant has gone. Glad it's been sorted and KM I hope you'll keep joining in here with us :)

MG - Big hugs and I really hope your mum is OK xx Lots of positive get well vibes for her xx

Boy is my back complaining about the gardening I did yesterday :( Stiff as a board and midly uncomfortable so I might apply some ibuprophen gel after my shower. Kids fed and watered, got to sort the cat out in a mo.
Have a friend coming for a chat this morning. I wouldn't normally post about my friends and their private lives but she's starting IVF and I really want this year to be her year to become a mom. Could I ask you all for some spare positive vibes for her and her husband, they are such lovely people who'd be fantastic parents. it would make me so happy if she had some good news soon.

Not sure what plans are for today and it's still pitch black out there so can't even wax lyrical about the lovely morning ;) Anyway "date night" (sorry I don't like that term but it does the job) for me and H. No going out or anything (did that last week) but we've made a commitment to spend one evening a week doing something together, even if it's just to snuggle on the sofa with a film. And I've decided that Friday night is treat night so I am hoping he brings home a packet of maltesers :D

Claire - now I've got the fabric for your roll I am going to start it but I've got an OS Meet this Saturday so if I don't get round to starting it Sunday it will definately be started next week.

Have (in the words of Bill and Ted) "most excellent" day today, the weekend is nearly here.

    Morning Bitsy

I will dig the pliers out later and measure them and count how many I have (loads lol) I'm fed up of losing them. As a thought jewellery rolls would be nice too if you could make them, we could link websites I supply the jewellery, you the rolls :) and little organzer bags.

Well my poorly littly boy, (ds2) has gone to school today, after sleeping most of the day yesterday he is feeling much better, got a raging sore throat still though. Ds1 is still in bed.

I've emptied the dishwasher loaded and put it back on,
sorted towels from tumble and put away in the bathroom
put another load of washing on (no wet bed this morning so I should get the rest of the washing washed and dried today)
Jack has been given his antibiotic rolled up in a piece of meat :) just need to wait for kettle to cool down so I can make a salt solution to bathe the wound. It seems to be looking a lot drier today, so hopefully I'll not be constantly bleaching the floor.

Dh got fracture clinic this morning, so may pop back into Newport and look to see if there is anything decent left in boots :)

  • Morning Matrix! Yeah, the elephant is gone!! :)

MG - Lots of hugs to your and your Mum and the rest of your family too. Sending buckets of positive vibes to you all.

Lara - congratulations on becoming a Mummy to a cat. I am Mummy to 3 of the furry little lovelies, and they rule my life with iron paws. I wouldn't have it any other way!! :D

Right, I need some positive vibes as well please... I have tonnes of work to do, and I know some of it is going to test my mettle and it is going to be tricky, so any assistance you could provide would be gratefully received! Thanks!

Off to the "Symphony" tonight with hubby and being treated to a lovely dinner first. Can't wait! Roll on 6pm!! :D

Have great day, a great weekend and I shall see you all on Monday... or possibly before.

Did you get all three together? I have two at the moment, but I have real cravings for a new kitten... would that be mean?

I really need this weekend off - not that there's anything nice planned. I have to buy wall and floor tiles for new kitchen (so looking forward to having that fitted (not!))

I was thinking though, I might go to the zoo on Sunday - mum bought be an annual ticket (I love penguins, so I can see them whenever I like). I was so proud of her, because she rang up the order line and did it all herself. The lady on the phone was so patient, because it took about half an hour for mum to basically give her my address and her credit card number :)!!

Hugs to MG and her mum x

Thats so cool Amethyst. I was a "client" when a friend did her head massage exam - got so relaxed I could not keep my eyes open on the way home after the treatment so I think that you will be very popular if you are looking for people to practice on when you are doing the course

Positive vibes on their their way to you.

TMIF - love the piccie of your furry friends I really miss not having a cat or a dog, but it wouldn't work with our lifestyle. Our lovely retreiver, Jenny, left us 14 years ago, and our last cat, Katie, 5 years ago. The house seems very empty even now - although we 'borrow' our daughter,s chocolate lab occasionally and he reminds me that there is an awful lot of clearing up and emptying of the vacuum cleaner involved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MG - sorry your Mum is back in hospital. Hugs.

Today I have to go to a funeral. One of our neighbours lost her battle with cancer - a lovely lady who lit the room when she walked in and who remained positive all the way through although she knew from the time it was diagnosed that it was inoperable and that her time was very short. She was 54. Sadly it is also the anniversary of the day our baby son died so I guess it will be a difficult day. However I'll try to be back with some positives this evening.
