    Good evening.

I have had a text from MG saying she is back at hospital with her mum so will be off again for a while.

Only just saw this - positive thoughts being sent to MG

Text sent, mobile switched off (will have to use ipod for alarm clock, but at least it'll stop me from doing anything daft, lol), G&T poured, and I guess I should really do some studying which was what I'd planned for tonight! Have to do a mock GCSE biology paper under home-exam conditions, eek! Think I need to map the course first :)

Glad he's left - sick of falling into these things on the way in. :)

Sorry to hear about your mum again, MG. Hope she is well enough to go home again soon.

As for you guys and your relationship advice, where were you a fornight ago when I could have used if?! ;)

Am impressed with your 'allocation' of presents, clairewop: I bought lots of things in the Boots 75% off sale, but am going to freestyle on the giving away of them, apart from one or two very specific ones. And they are very nice so if any of them are left over I can have them *insert evil smiley*, but only once I've used up the rest of my huge stash!

Well Dh had a go at me for wasting money and buying for the sake of buying, when I asked for his help sorting through them, (bearing in mind 80% of them are for his side of the family) So only allocated birthdays. Was trying to see what I had and who I still needed to buy for, so I can keep an eye out for bargains and boots glitches throughout the year, Between my mum and myself we saved £280 (i think) in boots yesterday, and I saved £104 in Claires accessories last week, so I can't understand why he has said what he has??

Hmm...well many guys tend to work on things like presents on a 'deal with it when it becomes a problem' basis, so perhaps he's just not thinking about the long-term of it all? Perhaps make a list of them and then at the end of the year when you have used most/all of them up, quietly show him the list (and the receipts showing how much you saved! ;)) to him and explain how much it would have cost otherwise. Perhaps he will be a bit more understanding next year.

Either that or what he doesn't see can't hurt him! :rotfl:

I said to him well my wasting money for the sake of it last year bought most of the pressies throughout the year and xmas, you never moaned then, plus most of it is for your side of the family, he just walked away in a huff.

I'm not bothered anyway I know that they will get better quality presents but to suit out budget.
