Found in special "Gadget section" of the contract

"spend more time on my blackberry/iphone/xbox/ps3 <insert gadget of choice> than with my chosen partner

Can you tell I live with a blackberry FB addict ;)

  • Mine's special clause is

1.1.1.1 perve at motor bikes and flat in Brighton lots...

1.1.1.2 talk about motorbikes a lot

    1.1.1.3 polish it lots... :|
  • I am currently compiling a spreadsheet of all the things i love about my hubby... and I have got to 68... and I am drying up. How on EARTH can you get to 365? Without saying things like "I love your third eyelash from the right", and then "I love your fourth eyelash from the right" etc?!! Or should I begin to worry about the state of my marriage?! :D

HA!! loving the contracts how about

    Exiting the house

1.1. Will ignore OH when she is trying to get me to go to the shops
1.2 Will eventually give in and start getting ready to go to the shops
1.3 Will wait until OH is engrossed in something whilst waiting for me to get ready and then appear with coat and shoes on, car keys in hand, and announce that I am
always having to wait for her to get ready!

    Cricket, I said things like
    • I love you even when you're grumpy
    • I loved it when you ........... eg let me have a lie in, brought me breakfast in bed on .............. For this I use my journal of gratitude things to remind of nice things he has done. I filled a lot of papers with those kind of things
    • I love that you still have your track suit from swimming club when you were 9 - even though I could do with the space!!!!

I think that robsmum is right, as humans we have a tendency to get bogged down with the negatives. I keep a gratitude journal and every day I make myself write 3 things in that I was grateful for. It makes me stop and appreciate things. Its like the positivity thing. If you make a conscious effort to notice and recognise the nice things then you start to appreciate things/people more.
Come on Crickett, get your thinking cap on. It will start to roll of the pen I am sure. Anway it doesnt have to be just 365 reasons, you can add love quotes, song lyrics, poetry, Or just a whole bunch of jokes.

I do also write little notes and hide them in his shoes/laptop bag/pockets. Mind you the first time I hid one in his shoes he walked around Chicago all day complaining that his shoe was rubbing him :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It would be really nice to hear what other things people do for other people to make them smile.

Come on - think and share. I need some new ideas.

  • Okay, well I have put things like "You think I am beautiful"; "You don't mind me ordering you about in the garden"; "You don't mind me having nights out with the girls"; "You give the best hugs EVER"; things like that. This is definitely a work in progress though... and i am now up to 83. So, I'm getting there.

  • I'm not sure I could consider "being allowed to go out with the girls" something to be grateful for... more likely something he would get a slap for if he even raised his eyebrows over the subject....!

That's it - I am gonna make a jar of things he has earnt slaps for :)

Goodness I am having a think about things to write and I have writers block!!!

My H when we were not officially "courting" but definately had the chemisty he used to sneak notes into my pockets at work (we worked together in same dept before it sounds like a scary stalker thing LOL) and he once tried to leave me some strategic notes on my walk home to meet my lift but they blew away - bless him.
<sigh> those were the days before kids and all the other "stuff"

    Good evening

Home from the hospital, dh has had another xray, its healing quite good according to the dr.

Went into town for a look, went to wilkinsons bought some things in the 75% off sale for childrens birthday pressies, went to boots to use my no 7 £5 off vouchers, dh wandered around the 75% off sale, wasn't much, but he picked up a few bits and pieces saying "this will be ok for so and so ect" bit of a change around from me wasting money yesterday lol, but he realised when he picked up a gift set marked £25 and only paid £6.25 for it he realised the savings. :)

Got a lovely stir fry from a butcher, 2 for £5 got a bbq and a garlic, so bought some bean sprouts and rice noodles and have just had the BBQ stirfry for tea mmmm it was lovely :)

We both had dinner out to in a little pub, so we have had quite a nice day.

Bitsy beans I bought a jewellery roll in wilkinsons for 25p I thought it would be ok for you to use as a template??? if you want to make them??

    Katkins glad everythings ok now

Cherisong love the 365 reasons gift :)
