Aw Mrs Hicks, I had one removed a few weeks ago so I know what you mean. It must be so difficult when there is more than one taken away.

Just had to post to say that I am really distressed by the direction this thread has taken and the judgemental tone of some of the posts - it makes incredibly uncomfortable reading.
I really hope the thread gets back on track soon - please.
So in the spirit of positivity - we are just about to sit down to a very MSE meal of omelette and chips :money: - yum - sometimes the simplist meals are the best.0 -
I just felt I had to respond to this comment - we all have trying circumstances in our life and people have constantly suggested why MG hasn't replied etc, and so I am wondering why on earth she just doesn't reply and get it over with.
I t is causing bad feeling all round as I am sure people can understand KM's frustration - I certainly can.
We all rallied round to help MG out of a hole when she asked us - by purchasing her book - the least she could do is be grateful to those that have helped her.
I don't need her to feel grateful to me, I have got far more out of reading this thread than the cost of her book.
I feel there is some head burying in the sand going on here, which most of us are familiar with from the days when bills were left unopened.
We all know how much better it feels when things are faced up to (after the first unpleasantnesses that is).
MG, we want to know about your stud wall and DS's schooling and how you are going to make a weeks tasty & nutritious meals from tuppence ha'penny. Get the unpleasnt business sorted and then we can get back to discussing the things that matter.0 -

Whoops I didn't help with the positivity did I - my comment wasn't directly aimed at you - I was just trying to point out that I guess there are plenty of things in this thread that have pushed the rules. And whilst I wholeheartly agree that the other site should be used for Business I feel that was hard as a few key members have been missing in action for a couple of months from that site but it seems that they are back on track now and so I guess thats no longer an issue.
I really hope everything gets resolved and the positivity is back in this thread shortly - whoops now I'm going to be late for the gym.

Hi everyone just to let you know I have had the email off MG today that I assume she also sent to DT and maybe others, so thank you.
I'm sorry that because of my post the thread has had to take a negative diversion.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has posted such honest, insightful and sensitive posts today I think you're a fantastic bunch and although I didn't want to have to get to the stage of going 'public' as such I really hope it has removed that 'elephant in the room' now as its in the open and I can stop feeling bad that my posts/PM's are blanked (not usually so sensitive?) and people can stop being uncomfortable for not getting involved (don't blame you by the way).
Just to clarify it became much more than wanting the 'stuff' that was promised it really became about the complete lack of reply and ignoring me so I am not sure what that says about me but I just wanted to explain.0 -

Then I am glad for you, and maybe the choice of the word grateful was not what I meant. Perhaps I should have said considerate.
I just wanted people to have an acknowledgement of their posts, pm's and questions.
It was a lot of money for people to pay out (the course) and truthfully I bought the book when I couldn't really afford to and went without something else so I could buy the book to help a fellow MSE'r, and it just feels wrong that the communication only seems to be a one way street.
That is the last I will say on the subject as I too want the positivity to shine through again. I love reading about what you have all been up to and how some of you are reaching goals, learning new things, losing weight, painting rooms and just generally being really lovely people.

On a different note altogether, I have just watched a film called 'Dear Zachary'. I don't know if anyone else has seen it, but it is a real life documentary and I cried the whole way through it. It is just amazing. I don't want to say too much about it, because if anyone decides to watch it, I think it is best you don't know too much about what happens. The film is made by a friend of a man who is killed and he decides to make the film for the dead mans son, so he will know who his father was and what he was like, but things change and it really, really makes you stop and think.

Again I had quite a good day. Concentrating on the positives really is making me feel I am achieving dar more.
It was good to see some sunshine this morning. We've had a bit of fair weather this week.
Went to the dentist this morning. I tried a new dentist recommended by a friend. There are very few NHS practices in this area so there is no option but wither to go privately or not go at all. As my teeth have always been a problem, I have opted to cut the budget in other areas in order to keep my teeth in good order. The previous dentist had become unbelieveably expensive - whilst there were a number of brand new luxury cars in the staff car park, the waiting areas had expensive makeovers and they introdced plasma screens on the ceilings for patients to watch while having their teeth drilled and filled or whatever.
A friend recommended another practice where the surgery was far more down-to-earth. The dentist and receptionist !!! nurse were lovely and the prices far more realistic. So I was a happy bunny and I need just two loose fillings replaced and a visit to the hygenist. These were set for next week.I had a coffee and a lovely girlie chat with a friend before coming home to make lunch for husband who still has his leg in plaster so can't easily do this for himself.
Saw osteopath this afternoon and the treatment has left me feeling much looser and more comfortable.
Spoke to daughter on the phone and she, son-in-law and new babe are fine and they are coping well.
So - all in all I'm feeling quite upbeat. :T:T:T:T:T
Come on matrix - post your positives of the day and lets get this board back on track!
