Well, for me today's been good so far - here's why:

    1) I'm feeling better than I have since late September and I hope it continues :).
    2) Thursday is a rest day after 3 days of work, and I'm enjoying curling up on the sofa with the cat.
    3) My car insurance renewal has come in and is less than I expected - a really nice surprise.
    4) The postie delivered a book from greenmetropolis for my OU course and it really is in the perfect condition described, and cost a lot less than it would have elsewhere.
    5) MY OU course materials have also been delivered - yay!
    6) There's no need to cook from scratch tonight as I've defrosted a casserole I made last weekend.
    7) A month today my daughters will be here from NZ and we will be away for our hotel break :j:j.

So lots of positives for me today!

Mrs Hicks, I hope you're feeling better after the wisdom teeth extraction, and I hope your wee doggie is making good progress, Claire.

  • Here is something that has been posted on the other site by MG

"Got DS1 settled down this morning doing some productive school-work and am now pulling apart all my notes for "cool things" from last year.

Seems to me that there is no point not sharing them on here - as they were developed as "bonuses" for people coming through training IYSWIM? So rather than post them for the whole of MSE I will post them on here for the Matrix and copy them over to the email addresses of people who came through training as well."

That would seem to suggest that MG is getting there, and is probably (hopefully) amassing email addresses right now. I hope that people do get resolution to their issues very soon and I completely understand their irritation at the time it has taken to get replies I am confident that MG is doing the best she can under trying circumstances.

    Stay positive folks, please.

Please MG don't run away from sorting out any loose ends. You will want to regroup at some stage and build a more sustaianble business and I suspect if you let this attempt collapse into recriminations you will feel too bad about it to have another go later on.
We are the Matrix and supporting someone sometimes includes chivvying them - we are on your side

A good positive point well made, maryb.

I also had a message but I would say again that my two boys benefited from attending so much that I consider this more than enough.

For me the distinctions between this thread and the MF is more important. Any discussion of anything to do with work and business here, from anyone is breaking the rules. This is why we have the other place. Here, I am quite happy to discuss '...the ladies' bras...' (I am not sure whether nay of you heard this silly song but when I want to drive OH really mad I sing it; it was an experiment by Radio 1 about three years ago to see whether they can push a very silly and bad song to number 1; guess what - they almost did it).

In fact I have become so sensitive to breaking the rules here that I did not ask for wishing for the time of a big, mega presentation in Brussels on the 19th - it did go well but I would have felt better if I knew that the Matrix is behind me. Anyway...

Someone else's dog has been to the vet's.... this is my vet but I don't know the dog or the owners. Adds a whole new meaning to being on the 'dog and bone'.

Well, I will also admit that I have avoided the posts discussing business for 2 reasons.

    1. I did not get involved in the original discussions etc so it is not my place to comment
    2. I am aware that the other site was created to discuss business and so I tend to go over there to discuss these things.

It was never my intention to ignore specific people. Indeed I have commented or thanked people as much as possible. I am sorry if I have inadvertently offended people.

I would prefer to refrain from any discussions about business and allow the people involved to resolve the issues as I do not want to jeopardise this thread either.

I agree with KC. Positivity breeds positivity and this "elephant" in the room has had an affect here. Hopefully we will get back on track soon.

I just felt I had to respond to this comment - we all have trying circumstances in our life and people have constantly suggested why MG hasn't replied etc, and so I am wondering why on earth she just doesn't reply and get it over with.

I t is causing bad feeling all round as I am sure people can understand KM's frustration - I certainly can.

We all rallied round to help MG out of a hole when she asked us - by purchasing her book - the least she could do is be grateful to those that have helped her.
