I don't think KM has compromised this thread any more than some other previous posts which lead to I'm guessing a few raised eyebrows at MSE towers regarding the mention of bank transfers etc.
I think it is quite a difficult situation and I can see why people don't want to get involved and I'm hoping KM can get her issue resolved and things back to normal I would imagine that she sees this as the only way to get a response.
Hears hoping positivity all round will be restored soon.2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -

I second this. I would hate to loose this thread and all the support , encouragment and love contained in it but am disinclined to continue if this can't be resolved and the thread move on. There's enough stress in our real lives.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

I'm afraid the thread was comprised as soon as a business proposition was mentioned/promoted on the thread.
Support and positivity is one thing but paying for it is something else and against the rules and ethos of MSE.0 -
I just feel uncomfortable as it feels like this huge elephant in the room, we all comment on each others posts and the "awkward" ones get ignored
I don't blame KM if she feels she has no alternative to make it public it's just a shame there isn't a different thread to do it on. I don't want the happy vibe of this thread to vanish because I think we're working hard to re-establish it again.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I am assuming that KM has now had a reply from MG as I have received an email from MG and hopefully this can now be sorted and we can all move on.

DT, it would be lovely to assume that - but I know somebody else had communications about the courses days ago, and no one else had, so I'm really sorry, but I'm not ready to make that assumption.
I don't understand what's going on with this, I must say. I never dreamed that KM still hadn't had a reply when MG started coming back to the thread..... Many of you know that I'm self employed - I work with a partner, he looks after his communications and accounts, and I look after mine, but we share leaflets, advertising, website, that sort of thing. We've always tried to get back to somebody the same day - the only exception, for me in recent years, has been that I won't contact people over the weekend, I need my weekends free. But then I have a list of people to contact on Monday, and its the first thing I do.
The only other thing I'd like to say is that if something that looks positive is built on ignoring problems, then its not truly positive, and since I'm slowly coming back to this thread after being ill for ages, I have to stop ignoring ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm still waiting for a PM from MG, but Mines to pay back the money for the power lead she kindly got me when Mine broke
Well I've managed to get a few loads of washing sorted today, I've got my pressies out from the cupboard, and they are laid on the bed ready to be allocated to people to see what else I need to buy.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -

I apologise, I was'nt meaning to insinuate that KM had compromised the thread personally. It was the whole situation of issues not being dealt with. I feel KM had no choice but post as she did. And the rest of us were put in the position of !!!!!footing around the issue, which made things uncomfortable, and I also feel its the reason that a lot of the sparkle and positivity had disappeared.
Simply because people were trying not to be involved it was easier not to post (for me personally anyway).
Hopefully now though, the thread is back on track and injections of positivity are on the up.
Sincerely did not mean i thought it was KM.
I used a bad choice of words and I apologise wholeheartedly if i gave the wrong impression.
Edit to add a bit and take the bit between the teeth.
Dont know whats going on and don't want to, but have thought all the way through.
It takes seconds to read a PM or send a communicative e-mail. I appreciate things have been difficult but please MG can you deal with what needs to be dealt with. Its not fair for the thread to have (quote Bitsy) this elephant in the room. WE NEED out lovely, supportive Matrix thead back, and I dont want us to lose any of our members because we all need each other. Everyone has a valuable contribution to make. And i know for a fact I'm not the only one thinkingthis, I'm just just using my keyboard to say it out loud.0 -
Fantasia, this is a tough situation for all of us - KM is having it extra tough because there's a financial issue involved - but its emotionally difficult for everyone. MG included, actually; I'm almost certainly projecting my own stuff, but I've certainly been in situations where its been *agony* to communicate.
Don't worry about your choice of words - the back and forth is what brings clarity.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
As you know I posted to say that MG had been in contact with me and I thought she would have contacted KM as well. But I was also getting frustrated at the lack of contact. I'm sorry if I was one of the ones who has posted something aganist MSE rules but I hope that what I have to say now is within the spirit of the rules
Please MG don't run away from sorting out any loose ends. You will want to regroup at some stage and build a more sustaianble business and I suspect if you let this attempt collapse into recriminations you will feel too bad about it to have another go later on.
We are the Matrix and supporting someone sometimes includes chivvying them - we are on your sideIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0
