Hi poohbear and welcome. You are in the right place. Lots of ideas can be floated around and discussed to help you start but we need to be careful not to mention the business or promote it in anyway.

Not sure how much you need to start the business or what age you are but have you considered the Princes Trust to see if they will help. If you are on benefits, ask the adviser about test trading - this allows you to start your business whilst still claiming benefits. Depends where you live on what is available though so do ask. Do you have a credit union in your area. These are usually good for smaller loans - just google credit union.
Sure others will have lots of ideas just shout out your questions and somebody will have an idea.
Good attitude by the way. See the decision as being your loss and their gain. After all they wont be making money out of you when you are succesful.

Depending on the stats and measurements MG, you have been well over-quoted. OH is a joiner and does these jobs regularly and he says even acquiring plasterboard from a DIY place with the wood etc, shouldnt even cost more than a couple of hundred, the more expensive part is the skimming of the walls, but with cost cutting measures can still be professionally done for much less. And that includes labour.

Claire this one is not as poignant as Cherisongs poem but I Love the idea of Rainbow BJust this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

  • Morning all!

Not even properly light here yet - what am I doing? At least I have a headstart on the day LOL

Claire so glad doggie is home again and on the mend :j.

Mrs Hicks glad the tooth isn't too bad. I think often the horror stories are worse than the experience - I had a wisdom tooth out and it was no trouble at all - couldn't work out why the dentist gave me a pack of painkillers. People do love to scare you, same as with childbirth.

Well I had a quiet couple of days work-wise, started to worry the supply had dried up, but I took advantage of the time to go on a bit of a shopping spree and do some chores - painted part of the shed with preservative yesterday while it was dry and sunny, wrote 3 letters, bought a few things I wanted from charity shops, and at a nearby pound shop I found Matthew Walker Xmas puds at 2 for 99p (normally £6.50 each - and I know these are nice because we had one at Xmas). Well my OH is a big fan of Xmas puds, so I bought 14! That's one a week from now until the end of April (best before date is end of April). OH is a happy bunny :rotfl:Luckily he is the sort of person who can eat the same thing lots of times and not get bored of it if it's something he likes. Once, soon after we met, I made him a chocolate beer cake for his birthday; he ate it 3 times a day for a week!

And now I have had 3 more assignments come in, and they have sensible deadlines as an added bonus, so that's all good! :j

Hope everyone is having a good start to the day.
  • Goooooood Mornin' Matrix Peeps! :)

A decent night's sleep is a wonderful think, and I am full of pep and perkiness this morning. As I was on the tram heading to the office this morning, I decided I would pop to Starbucks and get a big cup of tea and a cinnamon swirl. I know, it is a profligate use of money... but the tea tastes lovely, and the cinnamon swirl was yummy. As I walked to the office, still smiling (broader if anything!) I decided to count my blessings. By the time I got to my desk I was feeling energised, positive and totally up for it. That was only slightly dimmed when I saw the number of emails I have to trawl through, but it was only slightly.

So my plan for today is to attack my to do list with a positive mind and get it all done by the time I go home tonight. :D Sending positive vibes out to all the Matrix. See you later (or tomorrow!) :D:D:D

    Good Morning.

Up on time today :), only for ds2 to be poorly :(, temperature headache :(. Think It's a bit of everything that went on yesterday (him not knowing if his dog is going to come home, and having his phone pinched :() I have given him ipbrobrufen so hopefully he will feel better soon.

As for doggie Ds2 has given him his antibiotics in a sandwich and some water. He seems a bit perkier this morning, (at the moment he is trying to get the cone off lol, and is going mad :)) it's lovely to see :) just need to make a salt water solution up and bathe the lump.

Never got around to sanitising the kitchen yesterday so thats my job for today, and cleaning the fridge :( milk tipped.

    Good Morning Matrix

Claire - Glad your doggie came home again.

Cherisong and Fantasia - Beautiful words. I've not seen anything as child centred as Rainbow Bridge before.

Pooh and Amethyst - Welcome. Amethyst - you've reminded me I need to think about my challenge.

Crickett - Thanks for the dose of positivity.

I'm feeling quite energised today - back not as bad this morning. Yesterday morning I'd almost lost the will to live!!!! I have a check-up at the dentist this morning, followed by coffee with a friend and then osteo this afternoon. I need to sort my to do list for between times.

    Have a good day, folks

Morning all, lots of positivity in here this week :T

Welcome Poohbear, and Amethyst. Good luck with your 100 day goals! :T Remember not to set yourself so many that it becomes a chore - better to really achieve a couple than have a huge list and feel like you've failed if you don't get all of them done (I'm not saying you need to take any off, just have a good think about how you'll feel if you don't get them all done - if you'll feel great about the ones you have done, then that's fabulous!)

Working at home today, and PhD in the evening, so not much chatter from me this week, but just wanted you to know that I *am* reading every day, and I'm loving the energy that's back flowing through this thread :j :j It's really helping me get everything done, knowing that you're all here getting things done too :j : So, keep it up :j :j
