Are you definitely trying to get to Thurso, Cheery? The trains were only supposed to be running as far as Lairg? Tiny wee place! I really hope you get to Thurso, and then to Pippiland.

NorthernLas! You saw it in Cheshire? I was outside every 15 minutes, looking for a break in the cloud cover, but nothing doing :(

  • Morning!
Cloudy here, so not that cold but not good for eclipse watching. I did get up to look but no sign of the moon at all (and no, that wasn't because it was during the eclipse :rotfl:)

Our boiler is making very peculiar noises and behaving strangely, not sure whether some pipes could have frozen or something, but have turned the heating off just in case and will stick to huddling by the woodburner instead once we've finished outside.

Stay warm everyone! Hope the journey goes well Cheery!

    Good morning

Been out to get my Turkey, ham bacon :) it's not slippery at all but this lot of snow is very hard to walk on a 15 minute walk each way took an hour :( and my leg is absolutely throbbing now,

Supposed to have a hospital app this afternoon, will phone the hospital in a bit and see if they are seeing patients

  • Its is cold as anything here in Nottingham, and I am getting very distracted as Gok Wan and Brix Stuart-Smith are filming a fashion fix here at the moment! :) I have seen him, but not spoken to him. I am terribly impressed with this... but a lot of my co-workers aren't bothered at all. Very odd!! :D Apparently he had styled up some of the staff members, rather than using models, which is very cool. Unfortunately I won't be able to see the fashion show proper because I will be heading home to wrap hubbies presents, clean the house, drive round the family to deliver Christmas Cards, feed the cats, iron my choir uniform and pack my bags for tomorrow (carol concert after work... eek!) I am tired just thinking about all of that!!

Bummer MG... hope it works out okay!

I have a vivid picture of you running around dressed like this:

Even if it's not accurate it's made me smile :)

  • Well, that is the outfit I will be wearing at Midnight Mass, but my choir uniform is actually a black floor length skirt (had to buy a new, totally cat hair free one on Sunday!!) a long sleeved white blouse (which I have to iron tonight) and a christmas brooch. Oh, and reindeer antlers for the final part of the Carol concert tomorrow. :rotfl:
