Spare me please cos lastyear i got a slow cooker and a steam generator iron (what he calls practical)
Noooooooooooooooooooo...................!!!!!!!!!
He is in severe danger of losing body parts :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Please let it be something lovely and romantic and gorgeous and silky and aromatic and................ maybe not if he got it in ASDA arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:eek::eek::eek:
Is it possible that he doesn't know that you'd like some perfume or lingere? Men can be incredibly stupid sometimes. I'm thinking he heard you say you'd love a steam generator iron/slowcooker so he bought them for you. I :heart2: my dyson but it wouldn't be my ideal Christmas present:rotfl:Tell him what you want for Christmas:)Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
We've had loads of snow here since we got up this morning. Woke up to virtually nothing, then it started to snow and now it's everywhere, cars have been stuck in traffic for hours, some people took three hours to get here from the supermarket 2 miles away
I think I have whatever it is that makes men buy you stupid gifts. Other people get diamond jewellery etc, I have in the past been given a mug and pencil set, a can opener, and a pair of thermal long johns (not all from the same person either) :rotfl: . Funnily enough I am wearing the long johns now and apprecioate them even though I wasn't particularly pleased at the time.0 -
Last year he also got me a gorgeous solitaire diamond engagement ring, so he can get it right. Its the fact that he took my best mate with him that makes me panic, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

Aha, I always tell !!!!!! what I want as a present. He buys that, and then something else (that he thinks I want as well)
Then he can buy his "ever so practical, but typical man-ish" present, and the thing he knows I want
I can't better the plastic document holder. That is so awful it's hilarious0 -
I think I'm pretty lucky with Mr Daffs
He's absolutely brilliant at presents
for my birthday I got a fabulously bright yellow set of old weighing scales, but they didn't come with weights, so he MADE THEM - properly weighed (on our electric scales :rotfl:) from old nuts and bolts and bits of metal :rotfl: :rotfl: I LOVE it
Can't wait to see what my Christmas present is - there's been lots of sanding and hammering going on this week0 -

Has anyone heard from MG since yesterday?0 -
I buy most of my own presents and give them to OH with the receipts and ask him to wrap them and provide me a cheque
. Hoping that he is still feeling guilty about leaving me to have Xmas lunch on my own and I get a good secret present as well.
I can't better the plastic folder, but I once got thermals for valentines day!0 -
First Christmas with one particular XOH he bought various smelllies (from M&S) not really my taste, and a bottle of Baileys, so at least he tried.
2nd Christmas, I got a light for reading books in bed, and a basket from Oxfam and some wine glasses.
3rd (and final) Christmas - a set of pans (cheap ones, off the market) that probably burned water!
Hope everyones got a restful day planned.

White stuff hasn't moved here, as it was a lovely moonlit night I assume it is well crunchy. Time to try out my crampon thingies from QVC :j
Also gonna put out the garden birds chrimbo present early (well they'll never know). Went a bit over the top since RSPB had 10% off and free delivery over a certain amount and Wiggly Wigglers had 6 coconut shells free as long as you buy something ...
I love to watch fat robins
:rotfl::T:rotfl:0 -
Robins are especially friendly at the moment, aren't they? And yes, time to christen my new wellies and put the bird food out again.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
