Claire : hope bread is OK

    Susan : hugs to you

FW : As an ex-biker, I like Triker's idea of 3 wheels. While the idea of 2 and a bandana (ala Peter Fonda), the reality when you are tired and being buffeted by the wind is somewhat less than ideal. Apart from that, depending on your leg length, 2 wheels with luggage can be quite unstable at low speed (My bike had crash bars sticking out around the engine, of which I was very grateful for when I dropped it in the works car park ... it was a bit like falling on your bum on the ice and hoping that no-one has seem you )

The bandana will work just as well on a trike and there is space for luggage / helmets as well :rotfl:

Susan hugs to you and Alison what great news!

Not been any further than Aldi today (just under my wee flat) but cleaned, tidied, ironed, wrote cards, sorted stuff and changed my bed so a productive day all in all. Cheery I'm working til Sat then off for 10 days. Yippee!!!! Well got a meeting in Leeds a day but no hardship as it's followed by a meal out with the managers.

Hi Susan. Sorry to hear about your husband.

Just a thought, but does he have his E111 out there with him to help towards the cost of treatment?

Hope everything goes well in getting him back.

    Good morning

A cold one this morning, I had to put the heater on in the kitchen to warm it up :) usually its not too bad.

Well still don't know what the white bread and sultana bread is like yet, I asked dh to cut it, but he sat down and fell asleep, not surprised though he has been in work 15 hours  started at 3 in morning and finished 7 yesterday evening :(, so I'm gonna pop next door later with the food slicer and ask for help :) good job I have nice neighbours lol.

Very sore today, I think I have done too much over the last few days :(, but still need to get upstairs sorted again .

Susan - all the best for a speedy recovery for both of you, what a nasty thing to happen! Hope you can find a way to get hubby back home without setting your own health back. Take care xx

Susan - how awful! I'm glad he managed to get help - English places in France can be very isolated, I keep thinking of those pensioners who froze in their own gardens. You have to follow your doctor's recommendations on your own health - if necessary, if your son goes over alone, you can be on the phone with him or with the doctors/admin people.

Thinking of you, and all those who need support.
