Although when I asked what had happened they gave me a twenty percent off code and free next day delivery so it wouldn't happen again so I think its a genuine mistake rather than a ploy by the company.
I used to manage the Royal Mail contract with the company I used to work for and investigating what has happened certainly isn't seen as tampering, it is very normal procedure. Seems more that Asos do not want to investigate further. I know it may not be completely down to them, but it seems so odd that so many have had the same problem, perhaps the labeling was incorrect and they knew items would be returned?Comping wishlist for 2017

I was under the impression it was only Royal Mail this time round for orders. They used Hermes last time for some orders but all orders this time round is RM I thought.
Strange!
They use both, I have some with Hermes and the ones that read "Shipped" are normally with Royal Mail - my postman is my best friends husband so there is NO way that the parcels won't be able to be delivered as if i'm not in they just keep them and give me them later!0 -
I've just had an email from them for one of my orders as well saying they tried to deliver but no one was there and then no one collected it from the sorting office so it has been returned. I'm really annoyed because it's an item I really wanted, if they didn't want to honour the order and just told me that then I'd understand but I hate the lying... Is it worth emailing them and kicking up a fuss? It's an item I really wanted£2012 in 2012 Member 141!

I've just had Toni & Guy straighteners cancelled (was one of the ones I wanted most as they were for my sis for Christmas!)
And then had this email too,
We have tried to drop off your recent order, but unfortunately there wasn't anyone around. Unfortunately no one collected it from the depot either, so it was sent back to us, and we have refunded the value of the order.
Liar liar pants on fire, no one has attempted to deliver anything! I see it's not just me either. Naughty ASOS - I would understand if they emailed saying that they wouldn't be honouring the glitch but I don't like being lied to.Grocery Challenge £5.43/£320.00

That's what I figured... Oh well, hopefully at least one of the others will actually be delivered! The worst thing is, I work on reception at my company and I actually signed for someone else's ASOS delivery yesterday which came via Hermes, so I know there were deliveries being made over this way!£2012 in 2012 Member 141!
