Evening everyone

been quite a nice day here, took pup for long walk through Epping forest, it was lovely. Had to take car to have puncture sorted so they have changed tyre for spare and it will be done for tomorrow.

Had some good news this morning re ds2, the lea rang me to say that the ed psych has sent an email to confirm that his main learning diff is severe dyslexia, this means that all the info will go forward to a panel meeting on Monday to possibly get a place at the dyslexia unit who only take 5 kids per year. Positive vibes are needed Monday please.

Os today dw has been on, floors swept and mopped. Woodburner cleaned out and glass window cleaned, I love watching the flames flicker. Wm has also been on and hung on airer. Been and got 2 sacks of logs and bag of kindling which i lifted inside the house for now.

Awwww thank you all for your kind words re my award. :A It was nice to be nominated and I was proud of my young lad for being nominated too!

And yes my army man was back for a bit this week :smileyhea Sadly it was just a flying visit. He has been back from Afghanistan for a few months but is now based in Lincoln so it makes a relationship virtually impossible! He has gone back to barracks today so I won't see him again til Xmas at earliest. And yes men are like buses at moment in my life :rotfl: It's always been that way!

Despite me feeling awful all day work was great. Work kids were in today instead of on placement and we had big catch up about how their work placements are going in the morning, then we took them to the winter wonderland in the next town so they could have a fun afternoon! All enjoyed.

It's the Christmas Carnival here tonight and there were fireworks which I could see form my flat . The carnival is a BIG deal here, all my work kids are going to it. There was a parade of festive floats, a funfair and the fireworks.

I am absolutely knackered, and full of a cold so it will be an early night for me.

Evening one and all, just having a snuggly night, had a bath, having a surf and then going to watch a film I think. Don't know why but I don't like children in need, like the idea but the night's telly annoys me. (Just a miserable old sod I think!).

Good for you jackieG for confronting those thugs, perhaps they will think twice about picking on your DS or anyone else. Don't know much about the explosion at Gartocharn but the Police probably outnumber the residents at the moment. Apparently it is something to do with a terrorist plot which could mean that the Faslane Submarine Base may be a target, quite worrying as I am in between the two! Will keep you informed if I hear any more.

JackieO glad everything is falling into place and hope everyone has a good time.

Topsy, glad you are armed for the meeting re DS, hope you get the place he needs.

Busy day at work, all the christmas songs are being practised (find myself singing them at home too!) and the children seemed to be very noisy today, must be something to do with there being no rain for a change - even the sun put in an appearance.

Flutterby, Well done on your award - we all know you deserve it and congrats to your work lad too.

Have done the washing, just hoping tomorrow is going to be another dry day as will strip my bed tomorrow too. Will have to try to finish the christmas shopping this week as it is annoying me now.
