Morning All.
nmlc enjoy your weekend;)
Bitsy, one of my old school friends went on Wednesday night, we were A-Ha nuts together at school, but I grew out of it, lol! She posted 87 pictures yesterday, she was in the third row, and then someone posted a clip and her arm was in it holding Morten's hand - she was in rapture; I doubt she slept all night :rotfl: She's really devoted, she's even going to the final concert in Oslo  Have a brill time
Boys also have a mufti day today, taking DS1 to the doc first though, wish me luck, I am trying to be cool, but he's really worried; he's convinced himself its cancer and barely slept last night! I told him all the usual stuff you do, but he's got it into his head, and now he's said it out loud, he's gotten himself into a panic.:(
Plan for the day is to try again with the bike shopping for the boys, its so hard to find the best deal. Taking the boys after school for jackets, and doing dinner. Not sure what yet, possibly chilli and HM pitta breads. Oh, and I need to finish my CanCan scarf for my sister, its looking pretty good, but its not that har to muck up really, even for me :rotfl:
Hope everyone is well, continued thoughts for PenPin's friends and EssexGirl and Molly, hope the sick eltern are doing OK too, and everyone/thing else that wasn't doing so good.
Have a good day all, hugs spoons and hi fives

Morning all. I'm feeling tired and stressed
My least favourite combination! For some reason, this is making me crave a big hot bowl of ricicles! But branflakes will do
I have so many little jobs to get done today, I'm looking forward to going back to bed. My detective work tells me we actually have mould on every external wall in the flat! Even in the rooms that are kept warm or exceeeedingly well ventilated. Pffft the problems in the perfect flat just mount up so quickly.
I'm tempted to put the chicken soup in the SC in a bit so it will be ready when I'm home for lunch and for potatoes for dinner instead.
Hope everyone has good (COLD) days xLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Morning all
Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I went out for lunch in posh hotel with the girls. It was a special day here so it was absolutely packed everywhere! We had a lovely meal, and couple of glasses of wine. There were some local celebs (footie and rugby players mainly) sitting near us. Afterwards I had to go to a work event in Cardiff, so I got picked up by collegaues. The work do was an award ceremony. I won an award for doing my job, and one of my work kids was runner up in his category! It was a swanky do with lots of Welsh celebs there. All in all a good day :T
However I have now come down with a stinking coldI sneezed all way home, and had rotten sleep. Hopefully it will be gone in a few days as I fly to Canada in a week!
Other news this week is that my army man has been back in town :j He was only here for a week visiting - his barracks is in Lincoln. So we caught up on Sun and Weds. Sadly he is going back today.
I'm off to work shortly, after work I need to go pick up my car from my friends and then I'm coming home to put on pjs and have early night!
Have a good day all

Good morning everyone from a bright sunny, if slightly damp day in Dublin.
Well, its Friday, breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast, WM on, will hang it on the dryer when I get home. No dinner to organise tonight as we are going out with friends for Thai meal, looking forward to that, and a good long chinwag, haven't seen them for ages. Need to check on my parents first, Mam's black eye from last week is healing but I need to see for myself that she is OK, feeling a little easier about things now. Doctor seems to be doing his job, so we wait.
Saturday my Nan's 98th birthday so we are having a little 'do' for her, she is not always 'with it' in her head but we cannot let this go by without cake, candles etc, she is great woman, seems our family live to a ripe old age, my poor DS's are shivering in their boots having to put up with me for another 50 years....lol. Roast chicken dinner planned for later on, followed by Strictly, X Factor and IACGMOOH, perfect.
Sunday, nothing planned/organised, need to hoover, wash the doggies bed, put our bedlinen in WM, bake some bread/cakes. I really need to list pressies for Christmas and a big 'to do' list, I have nothing done yet...yikes. Dinner will be pot luck, should be chook left over from Saturday so will do something with that. Maybe I will try again to mealplan for next week, will try as it worked out this week very well. I am trying to run the freezer down though to make room for Christmas food/goodies. Not sure I will ever get as organised as some on MSE but I am trying and your posts really cheer me up no end.
Everyone have a good day, hugs if you need/want one.
JackieO, tear in my eye reading your plans for your SIL, you know the saying, 'what goes round, comes round', he looks after your DD and boys, and you look after him and they look after you....sounds like a lovely family. I would love to see his face..
Have a good one everyone, til later.
CaitCait, at long last signing on:rotfl:0 -
morning all!
damp and foggy here!
Off to work later and sleeping in - dont like doing this but the extra £25 will come in handy, got it earmarked to pay for my christmas meal out with my Tap Class.
WM is on, got ironing to do. Have mopped kitchen and bathroom floors.
DS2 and his girlfriend are travelling down to London today - I'm a bit nervous for them as they've never done it before and they had to catch a bus at 7am from Hereford to London and then need to get 2 tubes. They are visiting a friend of hers who is at uni in Kingston then travelling back tomorrow night. I shall try and not worry all day long. He's promised to txt when he gets to London and also when they get to the friends place.
Redruby - glad your Dad seems a bit better x

I am not THAT devoted. 2 junctions down the M42 is far enough for me
I am taking a camera but sadly am not in the 3rd row. Still I went to their last tour in the UK bout 8 year ago and had a fab time. Lets hope he wears the leather trousers again

What the Welsh have some celebs? Who would they be?!:rotfl:
Well done on your award. I hope you didn't blub as you thanked God, your parents and everyone else inbetween when you made your acceptance speech
Am I allowed a  at my H? Had to give the kids a bath so time was pushed this morning and I was about to jump in the shower and my H says he needs to go next. He'd only been lying in bed for the previous hour :mad: Anyone else sometimes feel like they are never a priority?! Kids then have misbehaved and whinged all morning. Completely ruined my good mood.
All the kids at school are wearing their PJ's (their choice) for Children in Need and there's my boy in his uniform. I feel like hanging a sign on his back saying I don't wear PJ's, even to sleep in so I won't be wearing them for charity :rotfl::rotfl: Mind you I could have sent him naked, after all his skin is his nightwear but I think he might be a wee bit chilly :eek:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
