Bloody plane has crashed near B'ham airport and the traffic round there is grid locked. B0LLOCKS :eek::eek: My mate has to come from Rubery to pick me up and then we're heading off to NEC (which is right next door to airport), apparantly police are having to direct traffic around the area - I'd better not miss this concert :eek:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Evening everyone, before I forget:
Bitsy – have a great time
JackieO – what a lovely MIL you are, have to admit to having wet eyes after reading your post
Flutterby – congrats on the award
I know there was more I wanted to comment on, but its fallen out of my head!
So much for my lie in, was awake at 6.15, made a cuppa and took it back to bed, OH was still here so I made him one too, I’m nice like that.
Stayed in bed till 9 o/c reading the trashy mags that OH got for me awwww bless him.
Got up, dusted and hovered throughout, cleaned kitchen including washing all the cupboard doors down.
Last night OH asked if I fancied going out with him when he was working on Saturday, going to Worcester, yep I thought. Today; plans had changed, would have meant he picked me up this afternoon, slept in wagon, went to Worcs and then somewhere else. As much as I like being with him, I also like being warm at this time of year. So I am home alone till late tomorrow. I am sure I can fill my time with being [STRIKE]very messy[/STRIKE], productive with craft stuff. I want to try to assemble my sweetie trees this weekend, have not the faintest idea where I will put them when they are done, but need to try to do them incase they are a disaster and I need to rethink.
[FONT="]Been to library this afternoon, picked up the books I had reserved and a load more. Tonight I will be mainly slobbing on the sofa with said books
Am off now to find something for my tea, have a good evening xxxx

Where does my time go! I manage to read, as even sometimes start posting, before diving off on another direction and making ti all irrelevant when I return.
Just a quick slightly off topic comment, one I was having problems with Firefox and not keen on IE, so decided to try Google Chrome, very pleased with it, and even better it has an auto spell checked when you are typing on here
sistercas belated birthday wishes
Pen-Pin sorry to hear you are not so well, and the sad news of your friends, but glad to see you popping in, don't be so long next time
bargaibird your posts do make me smile.I am sure the teddy diary will be suitably amusing to the teachers, even if it may go over the kids heads.
redruby Glad Dad is sleeping better, is Mum coping OK?
taplady Sorry to hear about the cardi, and I am sure your DS2 & GF will be OK, it is hard, I know, but they cope better than us with things like that.
Jackie-G Glad DS's lump was nothing to avoid homework for, glad you make it to Halford's even if only for 5 mins. Hope the AB's are working.
flutterbye Congrats on your aware, and one of your "trainees". You obviously work well with them and help them.
vmonkeyboy Congrats on finishing your course and becoming a mental health nurse.
NPM Memories of a November wedding here, with a thermal vest on under my wedding dress. It was that drizzly mist, and all the photos had to be taken with flash, not that you can tell on them now. Very small group photo as all the "oldies" had gone to hide in their cars. Must admit I had never hear of, or heard that song your OH wants. Not sure I could dance to it though.
Bitsy - hope you made it to the concert, whoever they are :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
csarina Hope your fears are not realiseD.
:bdaycake: to my DS's GF.
Now folks I need your help. DS's GF has put on her Xmas list a faux fur Cossack Hat from Top Shop, but I was thinking I could make one as a personalised present using that "furry" wool we were using for scarves last year. But I do need a pattern. I have googled this, and please be careful as lots of sites are ones which try to download a file to your pc and pretend they are saying you have a problem, and pretent to be scanning your pc, if you get on one, they just click on the red x and come out and close the window, if you see a file to download, reject it.
I was wondering whether it could be made simply with an oblong folded in two for the round bit and a circle for the top?? Ideas please. Original hat here.
Tea tonight will be the 2nd half of S&K served with mash, carrots, parsnips, and broccoli, plus Yorkshires from the freezer (HM). We have been to town, and taken back a dress I ordered from Debenhams sale, which did not look right, and got some FR eggs, and we have been to the gym.
Right better sneak out again, ((hugs)), hi-5's, spoons, etc, and congrats to anyone I have missed.
Take care DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -

I am having a total bridal nightmare:eek:
I have decided 3 weeks before the wedding I don`t like my shrug and don`t want one. Am now looking into the idea of getting a veil and wearing it with my big diamante hair clip:cool:.
This is my 1930s style dress

Happy Birthday to DS's GF Donny. I bet you/she would find one in a charity shop, my gran must have had at least four of them, in different colours. I think your idea would work fine, and I would put a really funky coloured lining in it too if I was lining it.
Well, busy afternoon. Went to get the boys jackets. Found some in SportsDirect, although DS1's isn't a ski jacket, but its Karrimor with a removable fleece, so its wamr enough, and its red, so he's happy! Then we went to Mr T for some shopping, I got loads of reduced organic salted butter for 35p reduced from £1.39 a block, so delighted with that, it can go in the freezer for baking - the date on it is the 26th too, so I'll be able to use it fine when defrosted. Wasn't really in the mood for it, but the boys were a good help, then they played with the Xbox set up in the shop for a while. Panic at the end though, DS1 was in a state - the three boys who'd attacked him and his friends the other week were there. I'm afraid I confronted themI told them off, they were so cheeky, and obviously have no fear or respect for their elders, either. They were about fourteen. DS was really worried that they'd come after us, but I felt it was important for him to see that I would stand up for him, and protect him if he needed it. The cheekiest one, who was the one who attacked my boy, told me where he lived - God knows why - and I know quite a few people in that street, so I think I'll be making enquiries, and if they are approachable, I'll go to his door. Mind you, judging by his behaviour, I doubt it. I can't believe I did it, I am actually quite a scaredy cat, but I can't have my boy almost in tears in a supermarket & wanting to hide in the toilets for anybody!
Hope you all have a good evening, Bitsy hope you get to the concert OK, and the accident wasn't too serious.
Camelot, have you anything to tell us about the explosion at Gartocharn, is it anywhere near where you are?

NPM - the cathedral length veil is lovely, if you can afford it and it will make you happy go for it. I meant to tell you earlier, its World Toilet Day today, and if you go to the msnuk home page there are unusual toilet pics :rotfl: - do you know anyone who'd be interested in that?
