well husband made it to work only to hang about for 5 hours be told that roads to tretcherous and they are being sent home, only issue is a jackknifed lorry on road to his work so he is in the building keeping warm waitin for it to be cleared.

Kids are doing my head in, being naughty wotsits, they want outside I said no chance as snowing heavilly on and off, snow halfway u car wheels and over the door sills on one car, the other I can only see the front of but its over the number plate. we are going noplace. This lead to mega strops, DD1 is especially prone to strops when she decides she wants something but I refuse. I went in shower to try thaw myself out and feel less scummy and they let them selves in the kitchen opened the fridge and tipped the remains of the open milk into a mixing bowl with ribena bread and some babybells. I know have less milk than I had hoped, no chance of local shop getting a delivery next few days and two little pest who seem determind to cause me a heart attack. I was tryin to clean up kitchen and they were in the bathroom 'making bubbles' i shut that door after trying to tidy it up to find them back in kitchen making potions.

They have already had gingerbread men making privlidges removed today for behaviour so arrrgggghhhhhhh

Oh my word LP, they seem to be a bit hypo today! My two have been at loggerheads lately and I just want to bang their heads together!

Sounds like you have really bad snow, I am dreading it reaching us, we are in the midlands and I can see it on the news, it looks awful.
I think I might do a big shop today just in case. (but class it as December :))

  • Naughty little pixies. My two tend not to do stuff like that thankfully apart from once when they got the lid of a 5 L bottle of bleach and poured it into a pan.

They spill enough normally without more mess. I hope they start behaving for you.

I think its a mix of bordum and excitment and upheaval. I put pictures on FB last night of the kids wrapped up for snowman building, all you see in the background is boxes, they know we are moving soon but have no concept of time so don't know when soon is, they also know we move before santa comes and santa will be visiting our new house. They associate snow with santa and for DD2 who is 29 months this is her first real exprience of snow, last year she was only 18 months so was in the house when snowman building etc. Add that to me being not very mobile and very very grumpy, lack of patience is me at the moment because i can't bend to pick things up etc.

If this was new house I would be lookin for locks to stop them getting inthe actual room but as it stands I just need to stick with the removal of privlidges even although it makes them more bored so more naughty and hope back up arrives soon :)

  • Brrr... it sounds cold up there, LP. I'm way down South and we've no snow - as yet - but it's absolutely freezing. I'm sitting in my study, wrapped up in fleeces, with a hot water bottle on my lap!

Making bubbles and making potions eh? My goodness you've a lot on your plate there (and doubtless a lot on the floor too!!). Hope the back up's already making its way in your direction!

  • Lordy LP, you def have your hands full there! Can they not watch a DVD they like for an hour to keep you from going stark staring mad?? Or is that part of the privilege removal??

Still nothing here yet but is -5 again and is so cold that the bird food is frozen. Need to go out and get some bits and pieces but I cant get the enthusiasm yet!

I threw a quarter cup of tea over our cat this morning, she dived to get on my lap as I was putting a hot cup of tea down:eek:. She was fine but the sofa arm wasnt. Have cleaned it up and hope the milk wont make it smell.

Daddy got home about 2pm and I went to be to 'relax' he woke me at 5pm because I was snoring :o:eek: I never ever nap, ever.

Schools shut tomorrow as well, OH measured my car, 13 inches of it, its up over the exhaust intake and TBH isn't the best in snow anyway so I'm not allowed out, MW appointment on wednesday which i think is in danger. Other stuff like i need to get stuff to solicitor for house move and requesting funds, we also need to get money CHAPS to solicitor and other such random admin things. We have time but its not looking like it will be any better this week, snow finished thursday to be replaced by -7 daystime temps and of course snowplows/gritters appear to be awol.

OMG poor you with the kids, they do know how to try us don't they. Thank goodness you had hubby to help this afternoon. Sounds like a welld deserved rest.

We've had no snow here, just super cold.
  • Still no snow here either although the BBC man has just said it will start at about 11pm and go on overnight :D . However I'm on nights on Wed so I have to try and get there somehow!

Errands done today and it was freeeeezing here. My friend and her two wee ones were meant to be coming tomoro but think that will be cancelled due to the snow arriving.

Wood burning stove and central heating on - Mmmmmmmm.
