Ok day today. No news from my nemesis Nat West. Christmas decs all up and room looks lovely. Haven't bought any pressies yet but will sort it this week.
Glad parents evening went well. We've got one this week aswell.
DS (1) has had some good GCSE mock results this week. He's taken some early but won't get the results till the new year. Wants to be a Vet so has a lot of hard work ahead of him.

Yikes I am useless at keeping diaries!

Apart from the first few weeks of phone calls which I have now barred (all Lloyds and Barclaycard) 2 months in DMP seems to be running ok, still get letters off the “Big nose” bank and Barclaycard with words like “ignore” and “low priority” in them (I am sending out more letters to these 2 today) but nothing from the others.

December was obviously the hardest month but I managed so all the other months should be a breeze:cool: And financially up to now I am managing really well even able to put some away for emergencies! It’s a good feeling to know everything paid for in cash!

The Dmp is the least of my probs now as my partner and I have decided to split up (well I have he doesn’t say much just mumbled something about selling the house and going our separate ways!) so looks like we are going to have to sell the house after all and each go in rented!

This decision has nothing to do with the DMP it’s been coming on for years really as apart from DS2 we have nothing in common we basically just share the house.

There are several reasons why we are splitting but would be here all day,one of them is that i am fed up with making all the decisions and shouldering all the responsibility but the main one is my partners attitude to my DS1 and i am disgusted with myself that i did not have the gut’s to leave years ago.

My partner is one of those quiet people (they always say the quiet ones are the worst i should have listened) happy to read and listen to his music and does not join in with any family activities, he is not a talker he is unable to make decisions and he doesn’t seem to have opinions on anything I always feel as I am talking to myself as I get no response. But he is also one of those people that everyone thinks is a really “Nice” person and wouldn’t believe how sly he can really be!

So not sure how this will work out after paying back mortgage and debts we should be left with approx 80k don’t know how this will be split as the house is in his name but the mortgage is in both! And apart from anything else it’s prob all going to get paid out in rent!

That’s the other prob due to credit record now being shot to pieces am I going to be able to rent?

I am going to feel slightly guilty as my partner has no family apart from a brother who he doesn’t see much of, and very few friends, i am also feeling guilty as before he met me he had a house bought and paid for, no debts and even had a few savings in the bank, now he will have virtually nothing all because i spent it.

Hope everyone is well and a very belated Happy New Year:o
