  • Hi
Thought i would pop in and say hi after reading through your diary. We have a similarly scary amount to clear but are going it alone.

How long did the quiet game of scrabble last? Mine are still at the age where I have to be most worried what is going on when they are quiet!

  • Hi Mum23:wave:

Think it's great you are going to start hairdressing again. I go to my friend to get mine and DD's cut, we pay £18 for the two and are there about an hour. Much cheaper than a salon for me and if my friend does a couple of clients a night she can clear £200 a week.

Our boys are the same ages, 11 and 16 and my DD is 6. Everyone said 5 years was too big a gap and they wouldn't bond but I can honestly say I have never had any problems with jealousy between them and all three of them are very very close. The boys often play xbox together with the 11 year frequently beating his brother. Like you my 16 year old hated school, he isn't particularly academic and couldn't wait to leave and then about 6 months before he left he decided that he was going to stay on to 6th form and is loving it. The 11 year old is totally different, he is Gifted and Talented for Maths, Science and French and finds school easy. They both share a love of sport, particularly Football and Rugby.

Good luck with the debt busting

Well it's my 51st birthday today and i am so mad:mad:
OH has totally ignored it! (just sitting there with his head in a book wish he'd hurry up and clear off to work!!) no card not even a "Happy Birthday" (didn't expect present as we haven't done for years) but the worst is that he hadn't even taken my youngest out to buy a card so i had one very upset apologetic child this morning:mad:.

I expect his eyes will light up when he see's birthday cake my daughter has bought well he can get lost (think we'll have tea extra early tonight!!)

OMG i sound so childish but this has really peed me off i am the one that is trying to work out everything get things sorted and he just sit's there!!

Have tried to talk to him over the weekend about things and he just looks at me as if i have just landed of planet "Zog" (i'd have more chance getting a response from next door's dog and thats been dead for a couple of years!)

To make matters worse i woke at silly o clock this morning as i remembered that i had sent a cheque for 20.00 to DVLA last week as i had to renew my photo licence and although i have 30.00 in my purse which i was hoping would last till payday on thursday i am now going to have to go and put 20.00 in the bank:eek:.

So i now have 10.00 to last 3 days so it looks as i will be joining the NSD challenge!

Well rant over feel better that i have got it off my chest and will try and enjoy the rest of this lovely wet day!

Due to DS1 not feeling well this morn he didn't go to college (i have put it down to the fact that he had a late night rather than being genuinley ill!!!) anyway he took it upon himself to clean the house!
So a good several hours and a whole can of pledge:eek: later i now have a nice smelling house (not sure how "Clean" it is but it smells nice!).

I have spent most of the day like lady muck sitting on my backside but did manage to get off it too nip to bank to pay 20.00 in.

A friend has just been round with some flowers and choc's for my B/Day and i told her about us doing DMP she was quite shocked at the amount of debt we are in but then she and her husband earn about 4 times more than we do .
I told her mainly so that I don't have to keep making excuses why we can't afford to do this and that.
  • Happy Birthday MOM 23:beer:

Hope OH bucks his ideas up and you enjoy the rest of your day. I always remember important stuff in the middle of the night then can't sleep even though there's nothing you can do about it at that hour.

Well i'd put my ironing money away for Christmas BUT we had a £200 unexpected car repair today. So upset about it but I suppose if I hadn't had that money put by we would really be in a mess now. It's just a bit soul destroying.
Same as you have nothing in the bank but a small unexpected payment went out and we were 36p OD. Luckily I had checked our account so had to dash down to pay it in. Looks like three long days for all of us.:(
Still able to offer a choice for sons for tea. Chicken soup, baked beans on toast or baked potatoes. We know how to live:D
