Hi LL
Like you even though i have to pay delivery with my shop i am less likely to be tempted by offers.
I wonder if i might have been best doing DMP just in OH's name as only 600.00 OD is in joint names but i do have the next account that is in my name which i supose i could have carried on paying?
I did have an email from next this morning asking for the rest of my payment even though i wrote when i sent token payment!
Glad you are getting on with your ironing business i did get myself one of those steam generator irons last year (only argos value one)but it's not that good although it might be me as i hate ironing lol
Still snowing here and DS2 just come in complaining he is wet and cold (what does he expect playing in the snow lol) he has left a lovely trail of wet clothes and muddy footprints bless him!
Hope you manage to sort Triton out, i hate it when things happen over the weekend,it's still early days for us and most of the preditors are not aware of a problem as yet but i have bought more 1.00 token postal orders to send out next week so i will be jumping every time phone rings.
Take care x0 -
What a day yesterday!!!
Washing machine decided not to drain or spin :eek:OMG not now!! anyway before ringing an engineer i thought i'd better check the filter:o no wonder i'm always short of money more money in there than in my purse lol (working fine now!)
Also trudged through the snow to PO as had to post lovely lloyds 1.00 token .
OH came home with a new pair of work shoes which he ordered months ago so i now have to find 23.50 for them:eek:
Managed to burn my hand last night while boiling water and now have a huge blister:eek: spent the night with a bag of frozen veg wrapped in a tea towel on my hand (although the pain was bad i was more upset about wasting a whole bag of veg LOL)but been to docs this morning and now have it dressed.
Today i have completed all the bank transfers so new bank account all up and running good news is my water bill has gone down by 7.00 a month not a lot but every little helps
Have rang CCCS this am and DMP was activated yesterday :jbut will have to pay the first payment by transcash as i stupidly filled in the DD form wrong:o was secretly hoping it would start 1st jan as it would give me a bit more to play with for xmas but hey ho if i can get through this month then next month will be a breeze:cool:
Haven't bought any xmas pressies yet as kids want mainly money so not much to get (much prefered it when they were little more exciting).
At the mo everything seems to be going well but it's still early days just have to take one day at a time.0 -
As you say just one day at a time is the way to go

Hi Mom23 - popped back to see how its going and to tell you to definately not give up heart! I had a real shock today.... when I checked online "big nose bank
" and found they have refunded all my bank charges and interest since I informed them I was going on DMP - well, you could have knocked me over ...!!! I did send them a fairly strongly worded letter
to their last lot of nasties they sent me so maybe it worked?!!
Still not entirely convinced its true - have heard nothing in writing but really really hope they have accepted my DMP (1st payment gone through to them). OR maybe its a huge mistake - I hope to goodness it isnt ...:o
Needed something good to happen as was feeling down (like you do) when you feel in limbo with it all and all the efforts and strongly worded letters and postal orders and recorded delivery you seem to do seems to be getting you nowhere - but maybe it is worth it after all! Was beginning to feel like constantly banging head against brick wall all the time - at least the bruises may have been worth it all LOL :rotfl::rotfl:
I also (stupidly) lost all my tesco vouchers I had been saving for Christmas food the other day... I had taken them with me just in case as DD had to get ingredients for her home economics lesson the next day (informed me at half 5 that night like they do)so zoomed out with them in my bag as worried I might not be able to afford the total cost. When I got home they were gone
- Whether they fell out handbag or not I dont know - I could have cried and cried - but.... since logging in tonight I read the bit about reclaiming lost tesco's vouchers posted by Martin :money: and bingo! I phoned them up told them what had happened and they will credit them all back to me again - happy happy pixie again
.
Anyway sorry to ramble on but just had to tell someone that would understand!
Glad to hear the washing machine ok - that has to be one of the worst to go wrong if they do. Sorry to hear about your hand too I bet that is really sore - hope doctors gave you some magic cream.
Anyway just wanted to say keep chin up, dont give up hope and keep on at them and hopefully they will come round to listening to you in the end even though at times you really feel like no one is.
PX
PS: I noticed you said you (and Loubilou2) pay delivery on your shopping - you used to be able to get tesco voucher codes on this site (discount codes and vouchers board) to ensure that you dont (or at least it can cover the cost of your delivery) - just a thought ... Ouch to the burn and hope it heals quickly.
I don't have any experience of DMPs but at least yours is almost up and running - which is a big step in the right direction.

Hi Pixie
Just taken time out from the bloomin ironing!!
Sorry not posted on diary for a few days (did subscribe to thread but it is on an old email duh!!)
Not much to tell apart from some bloomin 019 number ringing about 18 times a day wouldn't mind but if i wanted to answer it only rings about 5 times and stops so i imagine it's an automated thing!
Glad "Big nose" have refunded your charges etc:Tand that you managed to sort your vouchers out bet you felt sick!! that's the sort of thing that would happen to me lol.
I am still in limbo as although DMP has been activated i'm still not sure what's what IYKWIM although i expect that will all change once letters start coming through:eek:
I did manage to buy 2 xmas presents with my tesco vouchers (double exchange) so have made a start although i couldn't find a free delivery code!
I do normally try and use the voucher codes for shopping but can't get any to work at the mo:mad:
Lol no magic cream for hand just an awfull clear dressing which i can't take off as it is stuck to a huge blister and looks hideous, but at least it isn't so sore now!
Right now back to the ironing really need loubylou:rotfl:
Thanks for posting take care x0 -

Hi MOM 23
Sorry to hear about your hand, burns are so painful.
Also glad its all goig ahead with CCCS.
I'd love to help you with your ironing. Had a new customer this week and the order was HUGE. 4 king size duvet sets which were drier than the sahara desert. Plus extra sheets, pillowcases, loads of clothes etc.
Anyway included in this pile was two cotton fitted valance sheets which were a complete nightmare. TBH if it wasn't for the snow I think i'd ahve dumped them back on her doorstep cut into tiny pieces especially as I give 20% discount on first orders.
BUT she was a nice lady and hopefully will come back to me (she told OH she was very happy) And it will pay for some Christmas presents and most importantly its done!:)
Hope you have a quick recovery.

Loubylou i think your a saint doing all that ironing especially sheet's(i don't always iron mine i take them out of the tumble dryer and shake them:o)
Have just queued in post office for about 20 mins as had a couple of ebay parcels to post (glad i wasn't relying on ebay to pay for xmas!!) and had to send my first DMP payment by transcash bitas they know me in the PO (feel as though i have it tatooed on my head anyway lol!)
Postie has been this am.
Good News partnership card are happy to accept our DMP and stop interest and charges for 12 months:T.
Bad News Lloyds credit card services will not accept our reduced payment as account in credit?? no surprise there then!
I just know lloyds (big nose bank) are going to be the biggest pain.
I am being driven daft by the bloomin phone ringing (numbers i don't recognise) one number has been ringing about 18 times a day:mad: anyway thanks to the brill posters on the DMP support thread i have checked it out and it belongs to homeserve am well mad and i can't wait for them to ring again:D
Think i am being paranoid about the phone DS1 has been trying to ring me today on his new mobile number(i stupidly haven't stored it in phone book!) which i didn't recognise but as it has constantly been ringing all morning i "bravely" answered it:rotfl:what an idiot i am:o
Have managed to make a start on xmas shopping what a brill feeling to be able to pay in cash!!!
Am taking mum to Mr T's tomorrow as she want's to make a start on the food shopping:eek:i hate food shopping and prefer to do it online but she likes to go and as she is paying will have to do as i am told lol.
Well have to finish hoovering as DS2 will be home soon (days gone really quick) and i have to go to his parent's evening later (something else to look foward too lol)0
