I am right there with you as far as shoes go! My DS (15) has been wearing his football trainers to school for the last 10 days, armed with a note for the teachers while I wait for the child benefit to go into the bank on Monday!

Good luck with the DMP etc - you'll get there!

I am still debating wether to change my phone number!it would mean switching from Talk Talk to BT as talk talk won't change your number
I am more conerned that the kid's will pick up and TBH I jump now every time the bloomin phone rings:o or am i just being a wuz lol!

I'm also wondering wether to speak to CCCS and defer till Jan 1st to start DMP due to the fact Dec being the worst possible month and i do not as yet have an emergency fund in place, however i really want to get started as soon as poss so that i can begin to sort myself out.

Have loads of washing and ironing to do today and must try and get on top of housework although I can hear OH downstairs washing up yeah..:T

How brill is this to be able to come on here and talk to yourself IYKWIM without the worry of getting locked up lol!

Good morning MOM23. Just catching up on your diary.
We are in more or less exactly the same situation. Four months in still scary but so much better.
I do a bit of ironing to make some extra cash and it has helped out as November has been a heavy month. Low pay though as I am paranoid about customer satisfaction. If you could get a couple of hairdressing customers it would be better pay. My hairdresser comes to me (she used to do my hair in the salon and sneakily gave me her number). Much cheaper now for me but still a good hourly rate for her as it is a skilled job (unlike ironing:()
Good luck as we travel this road together.
ps I love my shiny new bank account too!:)

PSS We haven't had too many phone calls yet and the one that did ring just asked for us when the kids answered. So wait and see about calls if changing your number is going to be a pain.

    Morning Loubylou
It's good to have someone to "travel" with:T makes it feel less scarey somehow, although all the family are aware of our situation I don't feel as i can keep talking about it as they will soon get fed up!! although at the mo it seems to be all i can think about:o am just hoping that further down the line things will fit into place and we can begin to live a Normal (ish) life again.

I am going to try and do some hairdressing as every little helps (couldn't do ironing as am useless at it lol!).

Thanks for the info about the phone it will be a pain to change and just somthing else to have to "switchover" and i have put everyone's number in the phone book so kid's are under strict instructions to check name before they pick up.

Lol feel as though i am hiding from the "Rent man"
    Take care X

    Lovely when that happens.
Our boys (2X14 year olds bithday yesterday hence no money and a nearly 16 year old) fall out but get over it pretty quickly. They are aware of our problems and are very good at not asking for anything at all really. On the other hand their teenage ways means that breakage and loss levels are high in this house unfortunately.
Also they have the annoying habit of growing............very inconsiderate as far as i'm concerned. :D

You have twins ! i just thanks god that my DD wasn't a twin although she is nearly 25 and gorgeous she drives me to distraction!!
I have such horrible age gaps between my 3 kids 11.16 and 25:eek:I should be at that age where i don't have to worry too much about the kids!
I have had an awful time while my 16yr old went through school as he was obnoxious:eek: yet my 11yrold is a completeley different child.
You have to love them though !!
