I know no one famous. My dad knows Stirling Moss apparantly (but not best mates or anything that cool :o) and my husbands irish side of the family are related to David Nelligan who was close to Michael Collins during the Anglo Irish war. Oh and my great granddad started the very first bus company in Stoke on Trent. Betcha can't beat that little lot :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Evening all,

Gale blowing up here....OH laughed when I put clothes on line this morning....he took them in about 2 hours later and they were all considerably drier so it was worth the frozen fingers. We have had no heat since Sunday as boiler wasn't coming on, someone came this evening and did a temporary job, he will come on Saturday to fix and service boiler.

We had some lovely frozen pollock which I bought in Kerry in October and froze as soon as I got home for dinner....it was really good, had peas and some leftover veg from yesterday, including potatoes which I sauteed to heat....really nice.

JackieG....you really are having a rotten time aren't you....DD4 had root canal on a tooth 3 years ago and has had several infections since ( have forgotten how to spell abscess), dentist finally advised that she have it out, which she did last week and seems much better since....less tired and looks much less drim and driu.

Living room fire and wood burner in kitchen have been going full time last few days, this old house gets cold so quickly, heat is back on now and I will just turn it to timed when I go to bed. Good thing that DS3 cut so much of the fallen tree at weekend, will save some of the turf and oil I got last week ( €659 for 1000 litres!)

Still knitting DGS1 sweater....thumb that I hurt when I fell a few weeks ago is still sore, so have been knitting less, but need to get on.

Hugs to all in need or want of one.

    Keep warm

    Marie

    Sorry, I can't because I'm watching the darts. :D
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I haven't been watching this series - I can't stand that Greg Wallace guy! I watched Doctors which I recorded from earlier today, and I'm going to sit up and watch the news in a few mins (which I don't normally do)

I just realised - we've got News 24 on our freeview! Just shows how much telly I watch doesn't it. I've got the Royal interview on now so I can probably go to bed before the main news at 9!
