Post every day if you like. I don't necessarily do massive amounts of stuff every day, goes in fits and starts but I like a good natter and the ladies and gents are lovely :D I don't see many adults either so it's nice to have a bit of grown up conversation aside from DD's comments about Show Me Show Me or Mr Tumble :o

I'll more than likely pop in first thing in a morning and then not again til later as i work full time, but i'll definitely try to be here and gain some tips and inspiration. Thank you. :)

Anyway, for now i need to get a wriggle on and get organised for tomorrow. Have a good evening everybody!. :D

You should have seen the state of my kitchen half an hour ago :rotfl:

I`ve just made butter for the first time :p

I didn`t know which attachment to use so i started out with the whisk and when the mixture thickened i changed to the k beater, it was all over the place :D There was me with a big stupid grin on my face, DH walked in and said that he wasn`t even going to ask what i was doing - called me weird and went back to watch telly :rotfl:

Oh i lurve my new toy, next time i may use the FP part to see if that makes it as well.

Csarina - Lucky you, i looked on Amazon and they have the next model up which is slightly more expensive, you must have got the last one of those models. enjoy! :D

Jackie - OOHH i went all shivery when i read about your face poor thing :( You really need to get it looked at ASAP, first thing in the morning pick up the phone and don`t take no for an answer. (((HUGS)))

Well i`ve not got nearly as much done as i thought that i would today but tomorrow DH is off fishing with the woofaloes and i have a friend coming round, afterwards i`ll try and get some things sorted out. I really need to make a list as i keep remembering more things that i meant to do today :o

Offski for a browse and then i think that i`ll look through the long list of progs that have been recorded to see if there`s anything that i fancy watching. Nice change to have a couple of hours in front of the goggle box.

    Night peeps

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Hi Donny-gal.

I am trying to get into the habit of batch cooking and taking a food flask to work with me so that i can eat what i want basically when i actually get the time to eat. I dont actually eat meat, but i do use lots of quorn which works great in meat type recipes.

I do need to start using my slow cooker more, at the moment it lurks at the bottom of one of my cupboards and has done so for..... oooh maybe a good few more years than i care to remember. :o The trouble i often have is that first thing on a morning, i cant even think what i want that evening, neither can my DS, so that i can plan ahead.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. :)

There is step one, make a meal plan for the week, use up what you have in it and shop for it and keep to it. If it is hot and ready when you get home it will taste great. Not that I am much good at it, but it will help.;)

Hi Geebee - I am veggie too. I only really started OS when I moved into my own place 15mths ago. And Donnygal is right just take it slow and steady. Small steps soon build up. Somedays though I just think that I CBA so I have takeaway or buy ready food in shop. I never ever meal plan. But I do make sure that I always have some homemade meals (soup/chilli/pasta sauce) in freezer so I know there is always something there when I've had a busy day. And have supplies of basics like pasta/rice etc in cupboard. Batch cooking is very easy to do once you get into the swing of it, I do it automatically now.

    Good luck hun!

Thats the thing, i'm not so great at sticking to it  will definitely try harder though. I'm getting into the swing of the batch cooking though and thats definitely a start. Thank you. :)

Thanks flutterby, it probably sounds like i'm making excuses and maybe i am, but as i cant guarantee my start and finish time each night, i never seem to know what i'm doing, some days i can finish at 3, other days it can be closer to 6pm. The days that i finish early, i like to try and cook a fresh meal from scratch so that i feel like i'm a good little mummy!. silly isn't it?.. as stuff thats in the freezer is made up 'properly' anyway. :o I'll get there, just bear with me a bit please, it can take time for some things to sink in with me! :rotfl:
