Yippeeee i`m back :j:D:D
No work to be done on my toothypegs:D:D Phew such a relief!
I was told that my dentist is leaving the practice before my next check up though so fingers crossed that his replacement is ok, i know how bad my nerves will be before the next trip
On the way back i popped to MrM to fill my little car with petrol, i checked the petrol priices email before i left and its still the cheapest round our area so the trip was worth it, i popped into the store too and managed to pick up a basket full of food that we don`t need at allI can freeze most of it so hopefully i can squeeze it all in the freezer. One of the things that i picked up was some whoopsied double cream so i shall have a play later and see if i can make some butter
I`ve just had a late breakfast of scramblies on toast so i feel much better now, after i`ve finished my cuppa i`m off to dig out the magimix that my Mum gave me a while back and give it a good scrub, i don`t think that its been used for a very long time, then i can have a peek at the instructions and have a play around with it
Tea tonight will be the fake duck from the GC board, i`ve done this before and its very quick and easy to make and very tasty. The turkey was cooked and frozen a while back so its thawing nicely in the kitchen.
Redruby - Glad to hear that your Dad has had a good sleep, i think that it makes all the difference.
Jayward - Hope that your problems are minor and go away quickly ((HUGS))
Beemuzed & Taplady - I love to hear all the naughty puppy stories, makes me think back to some of the little monsters that we`ve had and how they were in their younger days
DH went to see the peeps at his new place of work and has been given his new hours, today and tomorrow are his days off and he officially has his first day there on Wednesday :j it will be great to have two wages coming in once again then i can catch up with a few things
Have a super sunny afternoon everyone

RR - Glad Dad's and Mums coping xYou know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket

Back again
well the magimix is scrubbed but isn`t in the best condition and tbh it sounds a bit rough
I`ve been sat sitting here trying to decide what to do, i`ve browsed lots of sites and although i do quite a bit of cooking and baking there are only two of us so i don`t do huge amounts. This is one of the reasons that i crossed the Kenwood chef off my list as i don`t need a huge powerful machine and my kitchen is tiny.
I think that i`ve found a suitable compromise and it is actually in stock nearby, please take a look here and tell me if i`m about to make a huge mistake or not
I`ve reserved it so i only need to collect but if anyone can tell me anything bad about it i`ll leave ithonest Its only small and only about 600w so seems fine.
I`ll hang about for a while to see if there are any replies
Bargainbird - Thanks

:hello:
I have been lurking for a while so thought I would say hello, started posting on the slow cooker thread and been picking up lots of other mse tips on here for a while.
I work FT and quite long hours so hoping the flylady thread can help me get the flat in order and hoping to not spend much on food this month as spent a lot on concert tickets for next summer!
Hugs to all those that need them, you all seem nice so hopefully I will stick around. :beer:0 -
its 3pm(uk) now and it hasnt been as nice an afternoon as i planned--i got out on the balcony just as a black cloud blocked out the sun and since then it has been looking like rain!(Sometimes the Kurds start setting off incenduries to start fires on the outskirts of the city which can block out the sun so the clouds could be high smoke!!)--i know no turkish to see the news so it could be something like that!!
Steve wright has Monday off so it isnt a good one!! although the non stop oldies have just started so tradition is being kept here in turkey!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -

Afternoon All
Hi newbies :hello:
I've been pampered this morning, got a card through the door for a mobile beautician, offering a manicure with pedicure for £15, I couldn't resist, she plucked my eyebrows for me too, (I am allergic to wax) all for under £20.
Just been having a sort out in the coat cupboard, as I have promised DH that if I buy a new coat I will part with an old one, so the North Face windproof/waterproof Red coat, and a mock suede/fur zip up Matalan one, together with sold old work provided ones, are off to the charity shop. However, if there is anyone who needs such an object for the postage PM me, will fit 18/20.
DH is just giving blood, hopefully next time I will be allowed to donate again, and then we are off to collect prescriptions and as we use Asda for them, will have a mooch and see if there are any bargains to be had.
We are out of bread and teacakes now, and the ginger cake made in the BM is good, so will put a loaf on for overnight, and then some teacake dough in the morning.
Tonight I have sausages out of the freezer, and we have some mash left as DH made too much, so will find some veg to go with that for tea.
Back from Asda now, this is in stages, sorry about that, SD I like that mixer too and it is a partial FP too.
No many "bargains" but managed to get some bits and bobs for the baking cupboard, and remembered some Frozen Peas which we have been without for a while:o Also got 4 Advent Calendars for the GNeice & GNephews.
Right better go and start tea.

Afternoon everyone
Not posted for a number of days as still trying to sort ds2 secondary school out. It is causing me a lot of stress, found a school which I liked last week, spoke to the senco who said that for him to access full curriculum would need full time support, rang the deputy head to ask if they would back me up on this when trying to finalise statement and he told me that they had no places left for statemented children and that he had already written 1 rejection letter that day. As we only moved to this area in August, feel like we have missed the boat as this appears to have been sorted in Y5 for most pupils that are statemented. Rang the Lea to arrange a meeting, they said they would get back to me today, no phone call as yet:mad:.
os today has been to clean kitchen, wm on and hung on airer. Cleaned out the woodburner and lit it again. Have brushed the stair carpet and will hoover next. Floors swept and cleaned. Dinner tonight is salmon, new potatoes and broccoli.
took pup out for a walk in forest, it was lovely. He was having his mad half hour this morning jumping from chair to settee to chair then ran into garden going round in circles. He is asleep now so hopefully he was worn out. Read thread yesterday and was sure someone mentioned walking in Epping Forest, that was where I was yesterday walking my pup.
Cait - Hope you manage to get your mum sorted at the doctors.
Redruby - Glad to hear that your dad had a good nights sleep and that he is eating well.
NPM - Hope Noah has had a better day at school today. ((Hugs)).
Bramble - Good luck with the job hunting.
Jayward - hope you feel better soon.
Sorry If I have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. take care and enjoy the rest of your evening.

Didn't post yesterday because I was busy finishing a chunky cardi for DS.
He has just got in from school and said a lot of his friends asked where they could buy one so I will have to do some calculations and see how many I can knit up
DH went out this morning and all the cars on this side of the street were frost free and the other side was white  How weird is that?
I have just put the heating on early it has turned rather chilly
Dinner tonight is Chicken casserole with dumplings and curly kale.
Hope everyone has had good days BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
