JackieG - hope your face feels better soon - had to smile at the doggie tale, your poor sister - I wouldn't let you in the door:rotfl::D

Topsy - hope you get your school sorted. we went through a similar thing with DS2 when he was due to start primary school and our local school wouldn't take him - we had to find our own school but luckily it was a great school in the end and the LEA paid for a taxi for him.

Off to brave he frosty evening in a min and walk the hounds - although atm Louie is sprawled on Taplord's lap having his tummy tickled and looking very pleased with himself:D

Good evening everyone, thanks for all the welcomes. I hope you're all well and survived the cold today.

I feel a bit of a fraudster being here as i dont really do anything moneysaving, but i want to. I'm sick of wasting money and i've tried various challenges and they work for a while but i need something that i can start doing that will become a way of life, rather than some novelty thing. I just dont know where to start to be honest.:(

If it's ok with everyone, i'll just pop along and post now and again, i know its supposed to be for OS moneysaving etc, but i'm not that far ahead yet. :o

OS is like everything - small simple steps. If you go too far too fast, you will burn out. What do you feel you could do, using your Slow Cooker if you have one, and bulking minceout with lentils/oats, grated carrot, etc. or cooking instead of take aways, there is always help here, but we need to know more of what you want to do, but make it small things which can be achieved, if you think we are domestic goddesses, sorry certainly not me! Evening everyone

Goodness it is freezing here. Been icy all day and has never cleared. Am sitting here with a body warmer on over a thick jumper and still don't really feel all that warm!

Been a busy day as usual on a Monday at work. Tea was left over roast dinner from yesterday. I bought a loin of pork in Makro for £8, we had a large family meal yest (8 people), OH and I took sandwiches with it today and we have had tea tonight and there is still enough for lunches tomorrow. It was lovely with no waste at all. Will have to try to get another of those for the freezer. Think it is beef on offer from wednesday though, so may look at that.

Redruby - glad your Dad is improving

JackieG - hope the tooth/face is easing off for you.

NPM ((((Hugs)))) for you and Noah

Right off to watch Corrie and relax. Hope you all have a good evening

    Hi Donny-gal.

I am trying to get into the habit of batch cooking and taking a food flask to work with me so that i can eat what i want basically when i actually get the time to eat. I dont actually eat meat, but i do use lots of quorn which works great in meat type recipes.

I do need to start using my slow cooker more, at the moment it lurks at the bottom of one of my cupboards and has done so for..... oooh maybe a good few more years than i care to remember. :o The trouble i often have is that first thing on a morning, i cant even think what i want that evening, neither can my DS, so that i can plan ahead.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. :)

Post every day if you like. I don't necessarily do massive amounts of stuff every day, goes in fits and starts but I like a good natter and the ladies and gents are lovely :D I don't see many adults either so it's nice to have a bit of grown up conversation aside from DD's comments about Show Me Show Me or Mr Tumble :o

Thank you. I should stick with the same but i always seem to find new ones and think "oooh, that would look nice" :)
I had a really nice picture that was a desktop but by the time i'd reduced it so much that it was ok to use for here, it just seemed to lose a lot of its charm.:(
