Eeek, the company OH works for have just had a big contract pulled from under their feet and he doesn't think he's going to get paid next week. Seriously panicking, don't know what to do and am trying not to cry. Don't think I'll be doing any more flying today...
Oh, that's awful. I hope it works out OK.0 -
Dusty - all my joints, major fatigue and wobbly - having blood tests, etc.
Hellyboo - pulled in the sense that it has gone elsewhere - if so what type of contract? Google TUPE, and then PM me if it looks remotely relevant and you want more info. Is it worth ringing the bank and getting a temporary overdraft agreed before things start to bounce? Huge hugs. If the company goes bust you will get the money from the government job but it may take a while.
Thanks Hex, OH is self employed though and has no contract. The company he works for had this job cancelled when they were half way through it because of mistakes that had been made and are owed money for it. The job was meant to be finished last weekend, but despite my OH been working 13 hour days last Sat and Sun, and being prepared to do the same this weekend it didn't get finished as someone (not my OH) quoted wrong. He was 30 minutes away from work when his boss phoned and told him to go home because they didn't have the job any more. I'm sorry if that doesn't make much sense but my mind is racing. Temp overdraft not an option so will just wait until we know for sure what is happening on Monday and cancel everything then if I have to.So, there are these boys,
They kinda stole my heart,
They call me Mummy
WW 37lb (2 STONE 9lbs! :j ) lost since July, 11tybillion to go...0 -
Right my bimble went ok (hope yours did too penpen)
I had a lovely time bimbling (which may now equal dot-to-dotting as my favourite Flythread phrase
) and then 2 large slices of HM cake (both cakes looked so nice, it would have been rude to choose one over the other
) and several cups of tea with my friends.
Meatloaf and stovies scoffed by the children, and DD out to work.
I'm now going to lay a fire, tidy the kitchen, and watch Horizon with DS, while I finish my crochet :j
Helly - hope things work out for you and DH.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Penpen pleased you enjoyed it, I've done a lot of bimbling lately, some much less productive than others, love the word myself
Hex Aprons are great, I could do with a decent new one......I've been wearing them since I had DSs, tabbards like Granny wore were great when the kids were little as it kept me cleaner lol I used to also use them for carrying small furry animals in
Hope the feeling worse is just a little bug or something and nothing serious x
Hellyboo like everything else, keep calm, don't panic, you'll manage as we all do as you have to. Firstly, don't pay for anything that doesn't need to be until you know what is happening - like overpayments etc. Assess what you have, as in what you have in cash, in the cupboards, freezer etc and what you need to pay for minimum. Next is there any direct debits etc you can delay without being charged extra. Go from there x think most of us have been in the same situation before for one reason or another and we have all survived x x
Since last post - Dog walked, collected DS1, made dinner, argued with DP, sorted DPs stuff for work (hence arguement as he was demanding things were done as I was finishing my tea !!!!!! then moaned when I was doing it while carrying my tea around) cleared a little more, emptied DW again, started to meal plan, worked out a few finance bits, panic attack when DPs statement arrived and his account is OD so transfered some money, worked out some of my expenses forms
Think phsyically need a rest so going to do paperwork for a while, I must get some expenses forms filled in before it is too lateOne day I might be more organised...........

Just about to have dinner and then I need to give DS1 a lift after he has made his bed and tidied his room. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
FW has once again excelled himself.. yesterday he said he would be here for the children about 4.. then 5 when we agreed through the mediation he would get them.. he then said 6:30 and would I feed them as he was having to follow a diversion.. and at 6:30 DD1 rang to ask him something and he said it'd be about 7.. I am so cross I could spit the whole plucking pheasant not just the feathers..
Freja is now ready for bed when we should have been arriving at OH's mums about now.. the little ones are exhausted and nagging me to death about when he will be getting here.. and we still have to get fuel..
I wonder if I can give him diseases just through the power of thought..
I'm not impressed and the children are now fed up of being messed about!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
