I have got 15 items on Ebay now and need to find time to get some more on tonight.

Had my first website sale today which was a real boost.

Out for the afternoon on a walk to the country park and then out for dinner tonight as it's MIL birthday, spendy spendy

Managed another 8 or so ebay listings, and have a £15 bid on one item which is good.

Spent less today than I thought so another bonus.

Ok so it's mortgage day today. The total we owe the world figure is sitting at £77,715.61 which is £343.15 down on last month. I am not including any bathroom savings in this figure, so theoretically it would be even better with them, but I think it would feel awful to jump back up again when we get the bathroom.

The mortgage is sitting at £78.855.03 this morning so we're happily into the £78's and I'll be happy with this for a couple of months.

Money is just flowing from me at the moment. Another £61 today at the supermarket. I wish it came in this easily.

I have received £10 from selling something this morning. Also managed £3 on OP last night. I have posted one review every day on Ciao in their travel category. I had more to cross post than I realised so spending my time rating on there at the mo.

Ebay is doing reasonably well from the free listing last weekend. I sold two items yesterday, still waiting on one to be paid. Four have bids on that end at the weekend so it'll drip feed in I think.

December this year sees the start of my 10 year countdown to when I want the mortgage to be gone. We will officially have 20 years left. I have done some sums and worked out what I need to overpay between now and 5th December to start my countdown on £78,999.00.
I think I'll start a new diary on that day too.

Ciao is going ok, and I keep thinking of reviews to post over so that's helping, and I've been getting a few E's which hopefully will be nice on payday over there.
  • I am liking the promotion this month too. Some much better reviews from everyone, and less of the fake churned rubbish so reviews sit there longer. I hope you have a great month. I am just trying to brainstorm all the places we have been to like soft play venues, then review them.
  • Hi Yukkibear, new to site (from about 2 mins ago) and wanted to ask you a question regarding overpaying on your mortgage. Does any overpayment come straight off the 'mortgage' or the 'interest'?

I'm considering doing this from next month and would appreciate any pointers!
    Many thanks!

Hi Darlingbuds. Every mortgage is different so you are probably best contacting your provider to find out. My overpayments come off the balance and the interest is then redone on a daily basis, but not all are like this.
