Hiya yukki , please can I ask how you work out how much you need to overpay to knock a month off your term?? Think that would be great for me ~ is it just using the overpayments calcuator & if so how do you do it?? Apologies if I'm being dense :o

Nope, don't have a spreadsheet although I've seen them mentioned on a few threads actually, did you create your own?? I don't start making overpayments until November :j (I really must calm down, I'm getting ridiculously excited, lol!!) so I'm just preparing myself atm. Any advice or thoughts on having a spreadsheet would be gratefully received, especially if you find having one motivates you more :D

I really like the idea of having something that tells me if I pay X-£ I will knock Y-months off the mortgage ~ very exciting ~ can't wait!!

The second tab has instructions on how to personalise it to your own circumstances and it should auto update when you do this.

In money terms this morning. I've sent £40 to mortgage because it's going to do more reducing the interest rather than sitting waiting to be OP.

DD2 first day at full time school today, wonder how much I'll get done.
  • My DS1 is at school for the first time till 3 too. I bet they come home starving, and absolutely shattered. That is my bet anyway. I hope she enjoys it.

Thanks Michelle. I didn't know how much to pack in the lunch box lol, as it's hard to guage how much time they will have etc to eat. I hope I did too much rather than not enough and I tried to keep it healthy lol.
