Sorry lol not trying to add to your expenses. We've done the sun £9 holidays but DD1 was petrified of flying as she didn't get on a plane until this year so I don't want the same happening to DD2. Plus I want some sun and relaxation!

I'm going to be doing one in one out too! Any idea where you are going for your honeymoon. We really can't decide! I went to Eurodisney with friends in my 20s and it was great!!

Glad you had a lovely Christmas.

They sound like some good goals. My friends who recently got married asked for travel vouchers/money for their wedding present instead of gifts and they managed to have a lovely week away in Cuba so is a good idea!

Will look forward to seeing you achieve everything.

I don't think we'll go too far as it'll be DD2's first flight, but perhaps Malta, Majorca somewhere like that.

House is a tip today. I put a few items in the free ads yesterday in the hope that they sell. we'll see. Got my niece and nephew coming over later to stay so the house will revert back to being messy again no doubt.

I've spent the last two hours meal planning for the first couple of weeks in January. Each meal is cooked mainly from scratch and as long as I stick to my plan and be organised then I shouldn't need to visit the shop for food when at work. I only spend £61 on the first week's shop which I am pleased about.

Determined to save some cash in January and eat well at the same time.

I think that shopping total will increase. I forgot cat food and cheese
Still it's going to be good to track it properly through Jan and try to improve every month.

I have been fiddling with the mortgage calculator this morning and to really achieve my dream of being mortgage free when I'm 45 then we need to overpay £250 per month based on our interest rate of 3.79%.

Perfectly achieveable - IF we don't have holidays, home improvements etc, so probably not going to happen. What I'm going to do is stick to my goal of £50 min each month to the mortgage and then work on the basis of cracking one month off the target at a time and see if I meet myself in the middle in 11 years time.
Sort of like mini goals to reach the finish line.

My first target is £200. But for every month I don't make that £200 it's costing me an extra £1 left on the balance. I hope I am reading the spreadsheet right.

I'll be back later with how I am going to achieve this £200 in Jan.

You are sounding extremely organised and motivated Yukki. Let us know how you are going to reach the first target.

Thanks Wendz. I'm wondering how I'm going to make that target too, but I'm sure something will come up.

Pay day today and I got a v small bonus. All accounted for in the wedding budget sadly, but this month I am going to draw out £50 for my personal spends and NO MORE! Hopefully there should be some cash left over at the end of the month that I can chuck into savings.
