**waves** to Primula.
That's such good news, well done. :j:j You've put a smile on my face this morning. I'm so pleased for you. What's the plans now? Holidays? House improvements? Give up work?
In money news here £3 from a survey should arrive tomorrow or the day after. Yesterday I received some cash from SE work which was gratefully received. Shame it's all allocated to the wedding at the mo, but it's all a step in the right direction.0 -
Hello yukkibear and jelly and everyone else I don't know yet!
I've only just realised you've got a new diary, been busy so not been on here so much, off to subscribe now though. Good luck with reducing your mortgage, finally we have done it - as of last month we are mortgage free, and it feels just great, time for saving now.
Hope everyone is well.

Hi Primula- lovely to hear from you. Congratulations on becoming mortgage free :j
Look forward to hearing your plans.
YB- having a wobbly morning re wedding. Had nightmares about it all night. The more I think about things I'd like to do the more stressed I get. Might go back to not worrying about having flowers at restaurant at this rate!!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

We only got snow here overnight on Friday, but as a result we have spent the weekend at home. I really need to get a few more stocking fillers so hope the roads get better soon. We managed to drive out yesterday morning to pick dd2 up but on way home we managed to hit a curb. Thankfully the car is ok. Last time it snowed at the beginning of the year OH managed to get a curb and completely bent a wheel bar or something.
We all walked to the shop after lunch and bought fresh veg for a nice roast dinner this evening. Apart from that it's cheesy telly and PC time today.0 -
Glad car is ok- I hate having to drive in these conditions. Luckily we are just up the road to the shops- although in the first lot of snow they had problems with deliveries. We managed to do a decent supermarket shop today so we are pretty well supplied.
Enjoy your relaxing Sunday!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Yesterday was lovely, I spent most of the evening laying on the sofa with OH and a slanket watching tv. It was lovely. We've got more snow this morning, not a lot but enough to keep me indoors. I think by the end of the week I will have cabin fever if this keeps up. Still work on wednesday and then I'll wish I was at home.
OH and myself were talking about an en suite bathroom at the weekend. The only way we'll get that is if we move. I always thought OH didn't want to move from this house, but I think he does actually, so after DD2 starts school we may see what the market is like and think about buying our next house. There would be a lot of requirements it would have to meet though if that was going to happen as I begrudge paying the moving costs. Have been playing around on calculators for mortgages and moving this morning. We could manage it, but our mortgage would be higher than I'd like so we'll see. It might be cheaper to sort this house house instead.0 -
Sounds like a lovely evening!
All my trains have been cancelled this morning, so am staying at home.
It is worthlooking into the moving, if you find the perfect house I am sure it would be worth it.0 -
Those evenings are the best arent they, me and kids had a duvet night watching a christmas carol last night.
I often look at other houses to see what they are going for and am slightly tempted to go and have a look but I dont think I could handle all the upheaval on my own! I have to tell myself my house is ok for now, thre only problem is my small boxroom when DD gets into her teens.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

I'm starting to get cabin fever again! It's weird as if this was summer I'd probably feel perfectly contented to spend most of the day pottering around inside! I really feel like getting out for a decent walk but in reality it will be treacherous!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

I keep looking, perhaps if the perfect house jumps out at me then I may go for it.Those evenings are the best arent they, me and kids had a duvet night watching a christmas carol last night.

I wouldn't do it on my own Pammy.I'm starting to get cabin fever again! It's weird as if this was summer I'd probably feel perfectly contented to spend most of the day pottering around inside! I really feel like getting out for a decent walk but in reality it will be treacherous!
Instead of getting frustrated I have started to clean my kitchen cupboards out and found some bread mix, so out came the breadmaker, dusted it off and now am making bread.
I wanted to make those cookies too Jellie, but I haven't got any chocolate chips and cookies just aren't cookies without chocolate chips. The recipes are still online though which is great so will def make them in the future.0
