I went to the M&S cardholder event yesterday. I couldnt use the 50% voucher as the date on mine was 20th November. But if you want to go to the event at a nearer M&S its worth going, I got an email saying you could go to your nearest one. I used my other vouchers for £9 off shoes. I got a nail file and polish, you can have make-up done too. You get a bag with magazine in and a small face cream. You get drinks, snacks and mince pies too. So its worth popping in today if its still on in your area.
Will use the 50% voucher soon though and hopefully get some good deals with that too !!
sorry, don't know how I missed your post.
No free gifts, no music, no mince pies for me.
There were plenty of people milling around the store, think we were all rather bemused by the "non-event"
I don't know if you were just lucky, or I was just unlucky?
Anyone else with post - party feedback ?:D0 -
Does anyone know if there will be any good b1g1f in the next few weeks that can be used with the 50% off voucher or are we best to go shopping this pm? Thanks0

Hi
Just wondering if anyone has used the 50% off voucher today with any of the other offers in store?
I'm on my way now to check out what's on offer!0 -
Has anyone sucessfully used this voucher and not paid with their M&S Card. I know it says you have to. My mum has been sent a voucher but is on holiday with her M&S Credit card, so i would like to use her voucher in her absence. Thanks£2015 in 2015 (Although actual goal is £10 a day)0

Hope this still works tomorrow as I've just spent an hour on the phone convincing my mum!!! She doesn't believe me and says they never have offers on like this in her store! I've tried explaining how it works but she still is disbelieving. I'll just keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow!0

So glad I read this. Went to get my mother in laws shopping list and she said if you have time to go to Marks I have a £5 off coupon. Also had a 20% one - got about 40 jars of everything from marmalade to pickles, small christmas cake and her shopping. Used voucher and £5 off without using her card no problem at all. Paid £24 ish in cash from what should have been £38 after bogof!! Going to do little hampers.:j0

We have a premium card and we got the 20% off tins etc, plus the £5 christmas voucher (couldn't get to the store on the days specified so didn't use it). Our first year of premium memberships runs out in Feb 2011 - is that when we'll be told it's going up to £15? Will cancel then as it'll be too expensive. Does anyone know if we actually have to cancel or just not opt to continue memebership? Thanks0

Deffo don't need to pay with your M&S card!;)
When we went, we used some M&S &More points vouchers to pay the balance!:rotfl:
Think we paid £1.98 in cash for £87 worth of goods!:D0 -
I had 1 of these 50% off vouchers which started today. Off we went 20 miles away to stock up. We only put cans jars crisps and nuts in the trolley, total at check out came to £84. After voucher was taken off it still came to £55. After checking receipt I saw it had 50% off but underneath this it said 20% off with a 20% off value. The multi buys and bogof were taken off. I went to helpdesk and assistant went to check in the checkout bin and found the 50% off voucher, but managed to convince me this was correct. On the way home I again checked my receipt and it was only 20% off not 50%. I have since rang store, but have to go back in to get it sorted out. So check your receipts.
This has just happened to me. My receipt says 50% off but then underneath 20% off and an amount. I can not work it out at all. I am sure I have been overcharged because which ever way i work it out I can't get the amount of the discount applied to equal 50% off. The receipt is very unclear as I bought some 3 for 2 and some Buy 1 get 1 free as well. I don't know if I can be bothered to go back and argue with them but I would be very interested to know how you get on.0 -
Sounds like they are trying to sort the glitch of not taking the 50% off each item but the total price on 2 for 3 but does not seem to have sorted it properly! I would definately question it!0
