I havent had an email, letter or any packs. What a massive mess and waste of money.2012 Wins - May - Box of Magners. June - tickets to Udderbelly festival, Krave cereal, Trip to New York with £500 coach voucher0

This is the first i've head since sending off for it, i got the 6 boxes and a 15% voucher email. What a complete con. I bought from waitrose and collected in store just for this offer. I didn't really need the tray as is still sealed in its wrapper! Who are people complaining to and how are you getting refunds? I had to cut the barcode off mine so no outer wrapper to return it?:(0

No email, letter, voucher or anything here. And the phone call Tefal Customer Relations promised me never came either. Time for another complaint, methinks. I'm really not happy to be fobbed off completely and stuck with an expensive cake tin for nothing.
Don't think Tefal will forget Cakegate in a hurry0 -
I got an email with the 6 packs info and the 15% off code this morning.Slimming World Member - Started 05/02/150

No-one who bought from Waitrose has yet reported getting a refund. If you go to the Waitrose website you'll find a way to e-mail customer services (through Contact Us, or somesuch). The Tefal website has a customer contact box you can paste your e-mail into, or you can phone. A couple of us put our e-mails on this thread a few pages back - might give other people some ideas.
There's been some suggestion Tefal got people's names & addresses muddled too - so I think it might be worthwhile calling them, then if they don't have your correct details you can at least tell them where to send their cake mixes (!)0 -
thanks have just emailed waitrose and tefal0

Hi,
Just a quick note.........I work for Tefal and I'm posting this as a long time user of moneysavingexpert.com as opposed to it being an official response from the company I work for.
What I will say is that there will shortly be a statement posted on here which should hopefully clarify the situation regarding this promotion and how the problem has now been addressed.

Thanks 5imon - that should be interesting!
I've called Tefal CS again and have once again been promised a call back. Best I don't hold my breath.
I'm just sitting here composing a letter to the big cheeses at the companies involved, expressing my disappointment at how this has been handled and how some people got what was promised, some are getting partial fulfilment and some of us...erm...nothing. Had they stated in the beginning that it was a "competition" or that only the first say 25 people would get the goods, then I would never have bought the cake tin. I guess that and paying for recorded delivery is what really rankles.0 -
Great to hear the powers that be are listening.
It has been a disappointment though, especially as we all were excited about the offer...........I sent my paperwork etc off in what I believed was a fast timescale and then it turns out it was a 'competition'.
TBH if someone had offered me a competition entry if I bought an expensive tin and sent off my receipt, barcode etc ...I am pretty sure I wouldn't have bothered0 -
Hello,
It’s Hannah from Tefal here.
Firstly I wanted to say a big sorry to all of you who bought an Airbake tin and didn’t receive your 24 packs of Betty Crocker cake mix.
This promotion turned out to be far more popular than we anticipated and so unfortunately we ran out of stock of the cake mix.
Tefal did not intend to mislead anyone or fool them into buying the product (nor did John Lewis , Waitrose or Betty Crocker). It was a mistake on our part not to anticipate the level of demand and make sure we had enough cake mix for everyone.
Following the responses and comments received related to the promotion we offered a 15% discount at the Home and Cook website plus a box of 6 cake mixes to anyone who didn’t receive the full supply of cake mix as a goodwill gesture.
With the help of Betty Crocker we have managed to obtain some more cake mixes and are now going to fulfil the cake mix offer for everyone who purchased an Airbake tin during the promotional period and redeemed their proof of purchase before 31st December 2010 and qualified for the offer. These customers will receive the 24 packs of Betty Crocker cake mix they were expecting. As soon as the stock arrives it will be despatched within 28 days.
An email and/or letter confirming the above will also be sent to all the affected customers.
Please accept our most sincere apologies for our mistake and hope that this will resolve all the outstanding issues.
Thank you once again for your support for Tefal, John Lewis, Waitrose and Betty Crocker.
