I had a response from john lewis this morning , they have offered a refund which i have accepted. I ordered online so they have just refunded onto my card minus the £3 postage. They didn't comment on any of my points about the unfair and basically fraudulent way the promotion was advertised and won. They just said that it was between tefal and betty crocker and that they were sorry. At least they're willing to refund I guess. What a balls up , it's goona cost them a fair bit if everyone gets a refund!

I bought my tin from Waitrose, but e-mailed both W/rose & J. Lewis yesterday. John Lewis have forwarded my query to Waitrose. W/rose have forwarded my e-mail to their buyers for investigation.

Its good to hear John Lewis are being so fair about this - hopefully Waitrose will follow suit.

Just got confirmation of my John Lewis refund - they are refunding whole value of my order -£31 ( not just the tray) .

so JL milton keynes have offered a full refund....however because i mentioned i hadnt used the tin im gonna have to take it in.....guess shot myself in the foot....
just pure hassle tho ...i dont go there very often and its probably not worth me going there for a £16 refund as it will cost me approx £13 round trip....
dont know if i should email back and push for refund and to keep the tin as good will gesture??

like others I only bought the tin due to the free cake mix. That's not arrived and I've not had a voucher either. I'm really miffed

Yes - per my posts in 176 and 179 - I have used my tin - bought my son a couple of the cookie mixes so he could try it out. Will keep away from Betty Crocker now tho.

I had a call from Betty Crocker (not her herself!) today to explain that they had no involvement whatsoever in this promotion.

MD for Waitrose is Mark Price, phoned Waitrose and they are doing nothing ! NO refund !! They say its tefal problem. well and truly CONNED with this one !!!
