Buy Tefal cake tin & get years worth Betty Crocker mix worth £45

I also complained to Tefal and said I felt rather conned into buying a vastly overpriced cake tin. They promised to call me back and never did.
I will NEVER buy another Tefal product after this, that's a definite. What shoddy customer service.0 -
I definitely think this has to be reported to Trading Standards. Has anyone done that yet?0

Very helpful Betty Brocker response?
Thank you for contacting our careline with your inquiry.
We recommend you contact Tefal directly as they are the company that are advertising the offer and that this offer has nothing to do with us but by a external company.
We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if we can help you again.0 -
I have been watching this thread (didn't notice the offer until it was too late to try and take part) and if stocks of the mix ran out in October I think the offer should have been removed from the shops in question to avoid people buying just for the offer which really was no longer available!!!!
What I don't understand is that why some people seem to think that any of it is the Betty Crocker Companies fault?Yes - per my posts in 176 and 179 - I have used my tin - bought my son a couple of the cookie mixes so he could try it out. Will keep away from Betty Crocker now tho.
If you bought a raffle ticket with a prize of a sony television which you won for example and the raffle organisers didn't produce the television it wouldn't be Sony's fault if you see what I mean:)"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

I think that is slightly stretching the analogy ..I do not believe that Betty Crocker were unaware of the offer - which does not mention that it is a competition . Their logo is the the very top of the T & C's.
Details say "Claim a years supply of Betty Crocker baking mix" WHEN you buy a tray. It does not say - you will enter a competition and we have '5' prizes to give away. When I organsie raffles - the competiton has to stipulate what the prize is and when it will be drawn. This had a closing date for applicants - not a draw date.
Plus tbh I assumed it was a joint offer as Betty Crocker names appears at the top alongside ( in front of) Tefal. - I did not imagine that Betty Crocker could run out of their own cake mix?0 -
I can see what you are saying bushcaro, just that I feel the blame for the failure of the offer lies squarely with Tefal/John Lewis/Waitrose and not Betty Crocker:)"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

Rumour has it ...... Tefal now have some more mixes.
They probably sent a lacky down to Waitrose to buy a few packs - and I mean a few packs.
Certainly not 24 packs for each unfortunate buyer who didn't win their lottery - but half a dozen packs each.
Seems strange that they can afford to buy some but not enough to cover the amount promoted and promised.
Like I say, only a rumour.0 -
So rumour of some/all? getting one quarter of what they were expecting? I have not received any letter or 15% voucher from Tefal yet.0

I received a reply from B. Crocker customer relations that a) was addressed to Valued Customer, not me by name, b) refered to the Tefal promotion as a competition, c) contained an obvious spelling mistake. I don't know why they bother.
On the other hand, & rather surprisingly, Waitrose haven't come back to me. They e-mailed on 20th saying they had refered my e-mail to their buyers for investigation, but haven't been in touch since. Maybe they / J. Lewis have been in touch with Tefal & suggested something is done to sort this out. That might be what got Tefal off their bottoms & down to the shops to buy up a few Betty Crocker mixes. Hope so, anyway!0
